Open cmd prompt as administrator. Now do you want to do a ping check or a trace route to troubleshoot?
To do a ping you simply type this
ping (now enter the address you wish to ping) you can even type yahoo.com here without the www
To do a trace route you type this
tracert (now the address)
Trace routes will show you the individual results over the hops so you can pinpoint your problem
You could also go to a website and do an internet speed check if you want to do it the easy way. A quick and easy one is on www.speakeasy.net. Click on Speed Test and select the options and your city and it will do the rest. -
