Try using safe mode (Press F8 while computer is booting up), select VGA mode and change the resolution / refresh rate to it's native settings.
If you have the original box, then you'll know what the native setting are or you can simply use google for that.
Obviously reboot afterward.
It may differ depending on your OS, but most of them are extremely similar anyway.
If that doesn't work, it usually means you need to update your video card.
Sorry if this is no help.
Also, I believe this kind of thread would belong in the "Off Topic" section, seeing that it isn't related to Crossfire. -

what do i have to google? The google idea was for if you didn't know the native setting of your monitor.
You'd basically just add your monitor model or manufacture into your search terms.
Basically, something like "Samsung 713n native settings" or leave out the "713n" part...you get the idea.
I believe I made a mistake though...Try doing the Safe Mode idea again, but change it to 800x600 60Hz, then reboot and change the screen resolution if it reboots correctly.
You can also try unplugging the monitor, completely, for say 5-10 minutes then do those steps. Sometimes it over heats and doesn't allow you to change it correctly.
Other than that, the only thing I can think of is outdated video card or video card driver. -
slaya, it's because your computer knows your trash, so it's saving you the trouble of leaving the game yourself.
I'm jking you're probably the best player i've ever seen off client.
Your sig is clearly staged, but meh.
@the guy helping me; Its probably my graphics card overheating at how good I am.
But seriously, the way you're explaining things is confusing me, but thanks anyway.
Someone is coming to my house to fix it anyway. -
Bump, if slaya doesn't get on cf, then derb will be the best australian player, then what the heck would we do???
don't ever use the words
"drb, best, australian, player" in a sentence ever again.
and i'm just the best player LIVING in australia, i'm not australian.

Naw this goes in the support thread. >_> -
Is it possible to somehow access a restore point from that kind of situation?
I know once my computer was screwed, probably likewise. Backed up files through some CD that would launch to backup on boot, then rebuilt the OS...always great to wipe off the unnecessaries with a rebuild once in a while IMO. -
according to my rage quit wall you leave every round.. not sure how you could have some sort of 'high score'.SlayaBanned wrote: »i think my graphics card is ****ed up.
i don't blame my graphics card for crashing, my frag count is usually too high for the scoreboard to comprehend so this was expected.
