Why is there login time limit?

Why does every time I log in to my account a bit late, It would say "limited login time exeeded blah blah"? Why do Crossfire need a time limit for login? I cannot think of a need for such.
Can someone give me the reason for that? ty

Like, 20-25 seconds.

It also depends how slowly you're computer loads the login box of the main login screen.

EDIT: I thought you asked what the login time limit is.

It's so the login server, similar to, for example Echo server, doesn't get full up, meaning people couldn't login.

So that the servers have some breathing room..

I think because people will try to guess other people's account password. So CF puts that limit so it will stop the guessing. IDK its only a guess.

I got one question too. When you're in the server list (where Alpha Bravo etc are) why do you get the same thing?

It shows you the message when you log in late and get into the server list.

I sometimes stay there for a couple of seconds and it gives me the same thing you get when you login late.

As stated, stop people from running programs that can guess a gazillion passwords per minute. If the account is yours, you should be long in within the designated time provided.

If you were going to try and crack a password, You'd do it on a edited webpage.
And also after 20 Attempts it freezes the account
