Just throwing an idea out for discussion. I'm bored.
I'm very bored. So please don't take this to heart 
What would you guys think of a League/Tournament/Event, possibly even a Draft type event, that hosted only bare essentials. Closed beta type action. Maybe even separate divisions for ping difference.
- Rifle: M16
- Sniper: M700
- Sidearms: M9, Colt1911, P228, Glock-18
- SAS, SWAT, OMOH
- Standard frag, flash, smoke grenade
That would be the ONLY weapons/items you could use.
Run divisions such as:
1) 0-99ms
2) 100-200ms
3) 200ms +
Please limit your responses/comments/suggestions to legitimate, on-topic, non-flaming posts. I am not considering running something like this. I simply want to hear public opinions. That's all. If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything. Thanks.

Yeah I think so. It would be a definite change from the ordinary events in Cross Fire. This is not meant to be a competitive idea. It can be, but it was meant more towards "a change" from day-to-day Cross Fire stuff. Using only the bare essential weapons and sidearms that are meant to be "secondary". -
Why's that? Pistols are as important as the primary weapons. Smokes,flash are great strategically.
But this is a bare bones/essentials idea. I think what you're given when you make an account is what qualifies as that.

My point for the pistols:
1) Pistols are important. But are meant to be secondary. Thus why I left the Desert Eagle and Anaconda out. People wouldn't think twice about pulling out one of those to use as a main weapon. The pistols I listed are actually "Secondary" weapons. You will most likely use your main weapon before pulling out your pistol.
And for the grenades:
2) This adds another dimension to the tactical part of this game, without taking away from the overall theme of the bare essentials. Everyone will have them. Everyone will use them for strategic purposes. -

Haha I was waiting for a comment like that. But it is harder to kill someone with a P228 than with a Desert Eagle. You can't really argue there. Plain and simple the Desert Eagle beats out with power any day. -

I understand. 100% correct statement. I agree. Haha. Not meant to argue. I was simply stating for the general comparison the P228 is not as powerful as the Desert Eagle, besides the head.
Good support so far. I'm surprised. I was expecting different. Let's see what we can get done. -

Me? I probably would think about it with a lot of planning and thought. Right now it's just an idea. Don't read into it that far. Just an idea, for now. I want way more public opinion/discussion on this. I'm saying "what we can get done" in general as a community I suppose that's what I meant. Haha. -

on a more serious note, this would be really fun with enough members. would this be PUG style or just a specific room in a server with members agreeing to a time before hand and then just joining.
Who knows. I threw the idea out there. Could be either. It's meant for fun. Something to change up the normal-ness of Cross Fire these days.
Trying it in PUG events could be cool to see how that group of players enjoy it. Anyone could do it really. Call it a "Back-To-Basics" scrim
EDIT: I do, however, think that it would be better suited for a more organized event. Either a Draft/Pug/Tournament type deal.
