What gun should i get?

m4a1, one of the best, most stable guns. good in mostly all situations(close,medium, far), and useful in almost all mods. not as hard to use as an ak. accurate but you have to aim carefully and fast or you will get wiped fast.

only other option is a ak-47, one of the most powerful guns, but high recoil and hard to control/use. if mastered, you will become a beast in game, but hard to use and hard to be decent at, spraying is hard with it until you get used to its spray pattern which might take a while. 1 hit headshot, 2-3 bodyshots and enemy is dead. accuracy wise it very hard for a newcomer to the ak series, ROF is okay but the power makes up for it.

other options:

aug or sg552. good if you're not very good at far shots, it has a zoom scope on it which will help you aim better. not as good/strong as the 2 above but much easier to use, and both are very good guns if you use it well. not too much recoil, but in zoom mode your ROF(rate of fire) will decrease so you have to finish it fast or you will die to good players. good and easy to spray with in close distance. accuracy is good and easy to aim with, espeically if you kneel down, you will get precise and easy shots close and far distance with these 2 guns, to pick which one of the 2, you have to try both out and see which one you like. rof is pretty good as well.

if you tried m4/ak and cannot do as good with them, i would recommend an aug or sg552.

and maybe the scar heavy, able to purchase at lower levels. it is in all ways an inferior version of the scar light, but people will not call you noob as much as if you use an scar light. the biggest flaw is its noticable slow reload speed. okay for far, good at close/mid. (very) accurate in most situations, good at spraying, good ROF. if you like the scar series, maybe you should consider this, it is quite easy to use, probably the easiest to use out of all the guns i stated.

Lemme throw some guns atcha.

M4A1 Rifle - Oft suggested for one reason...it's a tried and true rifle. The M4 has relatively high power, pinpoint accuracy, and a decent RoF. Not bad at all, a great all-arounder rifle. Performs best in games like TDM, S&D, and FFA. Performs the worst in games like MM, where ammo trumps most, but still performs well.

AK47 - The high-powered alternative to the M4 rifle, the gun has a very strange spray pattern that takes a while to get the hang of, but it's pretty damn excellent once that happens. The power is beyond the M4, with about the same accuracy. Performs the best in S&D, GM, and other Elimination style games. Performs the worst in TDMs, due to the high reload rate.

XM8 - One of my personal favorite rifles, the XM8 comes standard with a Red-Dot scope. Excellent for just about any mode, the reload rate is about the same as an M4 with the accuracy of one too, the gun performs best in TDMs and S&D, the worst in FFAs due to the somewhat lacking power.

MP5 - Fast, with one of the best reloads in the game, and accurate at long range, this is by far the best SMG in the game, save the Kriss Super V in performance. The only downside to this gun in the power at long range, which is more than lacking, but up close this is a death machine. Performs best in GM, worst in FFAs and TDMs.
