Crossfire players can enjoy the game more if Z8 does this_______?
The way hackers are reported needs to change!
I think if reporting hackers was the responsability of employees of z8, that the customers wouuld in turn spend more time playing Cross Fire, and this would create a more positive enviroment.
I dont care if you need to hire a couple of more employees to do hacker reports or whatever it would be worth the money, cause your coustomers will spend more money & Time on CF if they spent more time playing and less time reporting hackers.
This would eliminate the mass ammounts of false reports turned in, there still might be a couple here or there.
you could always hire a couple of players like you do for game MOD's ?
The way hackers are reported right now is ok but Frustrating, i think there is alot of room for improvement?

READ AND THINK BEFORE YOU COMMENT ON MY THREADS!
GO ahead and try to REBU.TTAL to that? -
You don't need in game mods, or to weed through whiny QQ reports (because someone got hs'ed), or even kick voting:
A report in game feature would obviously create many false reports, so many it would make the system unworkable however there are ways of reducing false reports and making this workable, for instance:
1) It would take 4 reports/people reporting the same person in the same game before it actually becomes a report, any less, the report is ignored.
2) Repeat offenders can be put on 'ignore' so their reports don't count, or are allowed to report but they get idk a temp ban for eample for being an ass (sending false reports).
3) Maybe this could replace the sh!tty kick vote system, many people get wrongfully kicked, and kicking even real hackers solves nothing there is still an hacker on CF it simply moves an hacker from room to room, reporting/banning is key with hackers and this system would enable that to happen, which is best all around ie hackers banned/good players allowed to play on. Maybe remove the honor system so that players who have reported an actual hacker but can't kick (no kik vote) can leave the game. -
You know what I realized? Sad but true...
I honestly feel like I've been beta testing this game for them for like a year and they are the slowest company in the universe who aren't capable of fixing all the problems with their game. Also they'd be the worst company as far as taking info from the community to better the game and make people want to play it.
It feels like a game that after beta would just be in permanent development hell and will never be released. It's just so bad it would be a disgrace to any publisher/company trying to sell it.
It's like: Come play our game! Report hackers! Offer great suggestions on how to fix it up! Try and play while you get booted to desktop! Join a game just to randomly be kicked to lobby! Do well and the other players will kick you! Play with some laggy foreigners who will kick you out if you speak!
All the great suggestions just falls on deaf ears while the playing situation just gets worse and worse with more bugs, more glitches, more hackers. But hey guys, thanks for putting some more unnecessary BS in the game though. I think I'll read a book... -

i get kiked for killing someone. and the hacker on the other team is being supported. but FINALLY he got kiked. guess who got in, another hacker. in part i agree with purity, but even if there are a lot of hackers i really like this game. also about the 6000+ ban list. it is not a permanent ban. its a 1-month ban and i know this because a friend of mine called ##@&#$*(&(* got blocked for "using hack" but he will get unblocked exactly 1 month after he was blocked. hope he learns his lesson -

I am agree with u Hey let's go play Tetris if we can't CrosFire -
haha nice!
Ok i see what you are all saying I found 1 good comment.
My POINT is that Cross Fire players are the ones REPORTING these hackers not the company them self...................
So I was saying is it possible for z8 to start catching and reporting hackers so that the players can play the game.
Not spend time saving and naming replays, then uploading them, then the final step of making the report and sending it..... only for it to take 3 month for the hacker to get banned.
this is not a complaint it is a suggestion like the thread states.
I have not reported some hackers due to the time it takes to do a job z8 should be doing

UM! @ nowhere do I see where u understand the thread?
am i missing the point or are you? -
UM! @ nowhere do I see where u understand the thread?
am i missing the point or are you?
It's you.
You want a system where hackers actually get banned and banned fast, a system that limits the effects that hackers have on game play. You want a simple system that is not frustrating for the reporter and which doesn't cause false reports for Z8 (you mentioned the false reports), which feeds into my reply that I posted. My POINT is that Cross Fire players are the ones REPORTING these hackers not the company them self...................
So I was saying is it possible for z8 to start catching and reporting hackers so that the players can play the game.
And players will continue and have to do so, there are many servers with many channels with many many games in each. Z8 certainly won't have enough people to inspect every game and if z8 could get that many people they wouldn't want to, not unless, they could get a team of 600(? more) slaves from China that work for 2p a day.
So yea employing people to do the reporting is not workable it doesn't take that much logic to figure that out, and currently with the players reporting hackers; z8 basically gets about 400+ mostly false hack reports just on a weekend to look though, which is why real hackers don't get banned (none of mine did) because z8 doesn't check those reports, or they have that many reports that they have a years backlog or something:rolleyes:Not spend time saving and naming replays, then uploading them, then the final step of making the report and sending it..... only for it to take 3 month for the hacker to get banned.
That's why Z8 should implement something like this:
A system where you don't need in game mods, or to weed through whiny QQ reports (because someone got hs'ed), or even kick voting (which makes it so many can't of us can't even play a full fkin game because of whiny QQ'ers):
What we need is a report in game feature, it would obviously create many false reports, so many it would make the system unworkable however there are ways of reducing false reports and making this workable, for instance:
1) Implement an in game report feature like below (which is easy to use)
2) Eliminating false reports/speed up process of banning hackers (It would take 4 reports/people reporting the same person in the same game before it actually becomes a report, any less, the report is ignored.)
2) Repeat false report offenders can be put on 'ignore' so their reports don't count, or are allowed to report but they get idk a temp ban for eample for being an ass (sending false reports).
3) Maybe this could replace the sh!tty kick vote system, many people get wrongfully kicked, and kicking even real hackers solves nothing as there is still an hacker on CF. (Maybe remove the honor system so that players who have reported an actual hacker but can't kick (no kik vote) can leave the game.)
That is a workable way to report hackers/ban hackers/eliminate false reports that costs almost nothing and saves time^^^^^^^I have not reported some hackers due to the time it takes to do a job z8 should be doing
I don't report any now at all, I accept there will be hackers and that reporting is a tedious process that ultimately accomplishers nothing, and even if it did work and the hackers account got banned with the lack of IP bans etc or any other way of preventing the hacker from playing CF again they will just create a new account and hack.
Just like kick voting even when it works properly it still fails, because guess what? Yea the hacker is still playing CF even if you put a sticky plaster on your room. -
UKDissident great suggestion.
Also would be good if server logs are kept so it enabled GMs to replay those games with birdseye go anywhere views (if they cannot already).
It would certainly involve allot less effort and time consuming than a player having to FRAPS and send Player Videos which can be considerably large files.
Would be good if free volunteers and "trusted players" were also utilised to sift the silly baseless reports from the real ones and had access to this system (without ban privileges).
It takes a next to live system in order to boot cheaters almost immediately to minimize the damage they can do to the game community and is worth the return of investment (less hackers = more happy donators = more $$).
edit:
Another potential solution is server-sided heuristics. It digs through game log files and finds a known cheat by inspecting data and detecting it then auto-banning. A Server-sided solution can be expensive and will most likely need a programmer and a scripter to continually update it.
However by far I have had the best results with this. Once the GM knows how the hack is performed and how to detect it in the logs then it is automated.
On a private Server of mine Item duping was occurring due to a client threading bug. Anyway I learnt what to look for in the game logs to detect who had done it then created such a system. The result was that when the player who tried to dupe immediately at next re-log (which was needed for the dupe to occur) his player that attempted the dupe was deleted and auto-reported to me for further investigation. Suffice to say the Cheat was almost immediately stopped and news spread fast not to do it. -
okay, umm after this patch, i have not seen 1 glitcher or hacker the whole day, from 10am-3pm PACIFIC time, that's 1pm-6pm eastern time. Which means, they arent doing very bad...you probably just suck and qq everytime someone headshots you cause they are a sharpshooter. My bro can get like 30/50 headshot kills...he doesnt hack..he just practices like this, i can pop corners, i dont hack, i just practice popping corners...you probably qq about these guys..

It's only been a few days since last patch and it takes a while to create a new XTrap bypass and find new Cheats. Don't make assumptions as it makes you look immature. That is all.ReyDunkinC wrote: »okay, umm after this patch, i have not seen 1 glitcher or hacker the whole day, from 10am-3pm PACIFIC time, that's 1pm-6pm eastern time. I got plenty of kills this was posted before patch and further more this is a suggestion thread its SO FUNNY how many useless comments there are on this thread
I still think the point is being missed ! -

NO NO NO I am not saying get banned faster all though that would be nice.\
I am simply suggesting that z8 employees start looking in game for hackers and reporting them to the CF REPORTS ppl.
Then players can enjoy the game more.
If any one has a comment other wise stating my idea is bad or not a good one WELL YOU are JUST NOT UNDERSTANDING of are IGNORANT? am i wrong? -

Ok I am going to make this short and sweet YOUR comment is completely useless stop typing so much mwhen my ideas only improve the game experence for the players hahhha silly kids and try to understand stuff before you comment! thanks -
-[B]ad[B]oy- wrote: »what's the point of beeing banned and getting another acc in 1 minute 0-o,
well, just update the information for new players so they can vote to kick the hackers, so many dudes don't even know what's f11 for 0-0
the first good question yea you win!
bad idea some company's BAN I.P. ADDRESSES but there are negative effects to this.
some times more than one person uses same I.P. address so more than just the hacker gets banned but it can be figured out some how.
suggestions? -
-[B]ad[B]oy- wrote: »only way is upgrade the stupid mind of new players, they can't vote kick at all
and the vote kicking is lame - 9 yes and 6 no is denied, but sometimes 5 yes with 4 no is approved 0-0
All depends on the amount of players in the room.
In an 8v8 you'd need at least 10 votes to kick. -
I regret ever posting in the thread to begin with as the OP has no idea about the business of online gaming. The idea of paid employees constantly monitoring each game is absurd.
We gave you some more realistic models of game moderation. Best of luck with your suggestion, no point in wasting my time any further. -

Do you think all the employees are working for free? cause there are already employees. Why would I ever suggest that some one monitor every game Because I did not. wow think before you comment.
wow point proven hahahhahaa so many useless comments !
this is simply a way for crossfire customers to not have to waste there time reporting so they can in turn enjoy the game, and Z8 and G4 box employees can take care of it why is it so hard for any one to understand this concept? -
WOW! so sad that you read and then still make a useless comment
Look I was never saying my IDEA/SUGGESTION was perfect simply put I am trying to help all players so they never have to worry about reporting or saving replays they can just enjoy the game!
Serious every one if your comments are just simply grounded on ignorant thoughts keep them to your self. Make comments where they may be of some use or simply make a silly comment like I DONT LIKE THAT IDEA OR YOU SUCK not a bunch of babble that dose not have a point and a complete misunderstanding or the IDEA! P.S. silly assumptions make a ASS out of only you! -

Same, His suggestion is tantamount to police having to go out and find all crime rather than people that see crime phoning in.
And besides there really are not many hackers all at on CF except when a major public hack is released like last time, so reporting is not that hard for the 1-2 hackers a month that you meet, and as for me I don't even waste my time reporting those as it it a fruitless exercise.
CF Mods do play CF as we do, they report hackers too, but their work is like 0.01% of what would be required so that you can not report hackers but have them all banned.
So all in all - faill idea is fail idea (Best response yet, I see these sorts of comments are generally accepted more by the mentally changed on here:D) -

See my point proven you don't report any more hahhhahahahahaa it makes sense but its a business and it would cost money to police there own game so in that sense yea its a fail idea not it faults in no other ways...... I am Blown away by how many useless comments there are yet again not just talking about hackers glitch, or any other of the many offences that z8 bans players for. stop checking the thread already
