If Crossfire has as many bad points as your pointing out why do you still play it?
You have to understand not everything can be fixed within 10 seconds everything takes time.
The point is that this has taken entirely too long, especially for a Public hack to be fixed.Trust me, you're talking to the wrong MOD when you say they ain't being taken care of.
Um, ok? I don't even know what to make of this so disregarded. -
Lol ok.
Ijji. F2PMMOs and nearly never had hacking problems later in development. It's fallen under and reduced to crap for other reasons. And a "highly effective" hack prevention system stops private hacks as well, not just the pubs, which Xtrap doesn't do at all.
.... The fact you just said Ijji doesn't have hack problems, makes me want to ignore you and just consider you a troll. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about.
Considering the new method being used in the hack, 1 week isn't long at all.The point is that this has taken entirely too long, especially for a Public hack to be fixed. -

I'm so, so glad you're not in charge of things. That's like... the least correct thing I've heard all day. Have you even played one of their games? IJJI is easily the worst publisher I've ever seen/had the misfortune of playing games from because of the hackers. -
You're kidding, right? Doesn't matter how much money you pay, you can't speed up the coding process to prevent hacks.Any hack prevention system is effective if their paid enough, like I said, stop with content and control what you have. I've seen a lot of good games go under because of this. -
I'll just go ahead and take Ijji as a joke.Lol ok.

Highly efficient compared to other games using a similar anticheat - absolutely.
The 'private' hacks are obviously harder to patch considering different hooking methods and rate of updates.
As for your reply to lbrettl, the same applies really.
The hack has been out for a week.
Its an entirely new concept which we didn't anticipate, nor could have.
We have it disassembled, now its just a matter for the developers, who are unrelated to us, to update accordingly. -

Lol I played Gunz since beta and yes, in ijji later on there was no hack problem. No you don't, because you decide to make threads when you don't know what goes on behind the scenes.
How is it my problem what goes on behind the scenes? We aren't made aware of it, and I don't work for z8. So from a customers point of view, this is bull. -

From a coder's point of view, you're a moron. You have no clue how software development works. -

Gunz doesn't have hack problems anymore because nobody plays....
You're *****ing about stuff that's going on behind the scenes. Just because you're the uninformed customer with no common sense whatsoever doesn't make this a bunch of bull.
Exactly. From a coder's point of view, you're a moron. You have no clue how software development works. -

I didn't say it was your problem. But it is your problem if you make more work for us, when we could be working on this stuff more. People post threads without knowing the facts. Which equals work for us. -
Yea, this is officially bull****. I logged in for literally 15 minutes. Three games, and at least 5 hackers. That's 20 hackers an hour. And Z8 still not doing anything. It's really ****ing me off because Z8 is LEGALLY obligated to control this and it's been a week. Stop focusing on content updates and get what you already have under control before you end up like Ijji.
BTW fix you're obsolete kicking system so that it actually can kick the hackers.
I'm curious where you get the idea that we're legally obligated to control a release of a hack? We want to stop this hack as much as you do. But there is no law forcing us to do this.
We have made a statement that we are working on this particular problem yet you refuse to read the whole thread. The first part explains that we are handling the reports as they come in as best they can.
The second part explains that we are working on other ways to not only stop and block the hack, but improve the banning system in which we can issue bans for when the hacks detected. So if you hack, great you get banned immediately. Make another account and hack? The same result applies.
The last part explains the severity of the hack as far as keylogging and information gathering goes.
Please try to read all the information we're giving instead of coming to these forums to rage about some phantom legal obligation.
It's probably also worth noting that as any f2p game gets more popular and larger in user base, more hacks come out for those games.
It's also worth noting after that statement that the current public hack was created to steal information from peoples computers, it's distribution is so widespread because of the accessibility and popularity of our game. Which you can't say for games made by the publisher mentioned above. The makers of this particular hack get more users to fall for it for our game because we're that much bigger. -
No, more money = money spent on "company cars".
You clearly don't know how most businesses run either.
Just curious, how old are you?
I know that when sht hits the fan everyone who can help does. We need orders out in a half hour, we get people from other departments to help finish. The more money on a subject means the more attention on the subject.
And just a side note. When I manage to even kill a hacker I get called a waller. -.- -

Um.... Sure, that would work if we were a department store where we could use the janitors to help put crap in the truck....
Doesn't work when it comes to coding software. Mr. Janitor over there probably doesn't know how to work his email, let alone code. Neither does Mr. PR who's always on the phone.
Doesn't work like that.
You can't bring in people from other departments because they can't do the work. Plain and simple. -

You apparently do unskilled manual labor that anyone can figure out. A coder generally has to go through several years of school followed by more years of actual coding before they're actually good. -
There are many problems with this game that are significant and should be fixed urgently, yes the blame can be passed "oh it's the devs" etc but the bottom line is it needs fixing, whether that be you doing the work or pressurizing those responsible to get it done:
Glitchers - most hide in boxes, fix the boxes - I am sick and tired of being shot by some noob in box, this has been unfixed for months whilst numerous content patches have been released.
Hackers - XTrap does a fairly good job in this aspect but more should be done to reduce hacking generally which everyone agrees with and hopefully is working on.
kick vote - I like the idea of having a report system (see here / here) as opposed to kicking, as kick voting doesnt work for many reasons ie hackers don't get kicked, they are allowed to stay, you get kicked for kicking hackers and glitchers, you get kick for no reason.
Report system - See above, a fully functioning workable and manageable system that deal with hackers, stops people being wrongfully kicked and reduces your work load [less reports]. The current one is swamped with reports that are never dealt with (I can send you VIP hack reports from months ago if you want they are still active).
How hackers/glitchers are banned - It should involve at least an attempt to ban them permanently. This 'ban the account', and 'ban the next account' they use and the next, next, next just allows people to hack/glitch, it doesn't stop them at all, this then results in people still seeing hackers/glitchers and they then think "CF sucks". -
First of all I didn't say that that calculated the number of hackers. It's an estimation of how many hackers you would come across in an hour of gameplay.
Second, how about you take some attention off of reviewing reports and take care of the hack first? No hack = no hackers. (of course there will always be private hacks, but take care of the pub) Worry about the reports later. (but it won't even make a difference because you don't hardware ban)
And what is all our money going into then? Because Xtrap's a joke, and the longer this goes on the more people who buy zp are going to leave. Combat arms is looking pretty good atm as sad as I am to say it.
And obviously the kick system can't detect hacks, but neither can xtrap can it? But when a group of people recognize a hacker and have to go through literally all their votes to be rid of it isn't effective enough to even bother when another hacker will join within five minutes.
man you talk gold here -
If it is indeed true that hakers are being keylogged then hahahahahhahahahahha,
but i gota say epic hak design fail lol most of the hakkers here are BR, Turkish and Mexican.
Therefore the keylogger will get the credit, bank, email passwords details etc of some of the poorest people on the planet.
I bet the Br players are in a internet cafe so dont really care about the security of there computers as they dont even belong to them, i say ban BR ip's that'll sort out a large % of hakers.
