I have trouble believing this because my sister has the same chipset with 1GB RAM and a worse processor and 8v8 is more than playable on her computer.
What is more than playable to you? because for me, anything less than 35 is pushing it. 45+ just so you have some leverage.
You do know that Crossfire updates it's graphics every once in a while. What would you feel like if they suddenly added Anti-Aliasing or Adaptive-Aliasing to this game? You have to have leverage if you want to game. don't be on the ball. -

Wii was cool the first time i got drunk with a bunch a buddy's then it got gay. -
Honestly, I remember when I was young and I saved up for a pre-built Pc not knowing how bad they are, not not knowing anything about computers in general. I paid $300 for it and now I wish I'd have never done that.
Haze, instead of finding the cheapest pre-built and predicting it will run with a lousy 30 fps in an 8v8 why don't you research these kind of things. -

Then they better add an option to turn it off or they will lose some players. What if's are worthless and I find it odd you tell me not to buy pre-built machines when my has lasted like 5 years. I play at an average 30-35 in most games anyhow.
The only game I play is CF on here and I'm not a PC gamer at all.
LOL, research? My sister has the sameish PC with a gig of RAM and roughly the same graphics card, maybe a slight step above mine but it's still integrated and 8v8 is more than playable. I couldn't tell you what FPS "more than playable" is because I don't use hers anymore after I fixed mine (messing around with .bat files and wiped out my HD) but it was certainly a heck of a lot better than mine is now. -

Tbf, I got alot of it from stuff we didn't need/want in anything else. Since we sold the majority of the custom PCs, we had alot of ordinates left over (my friend works at a local Currys, they supply computer parts, and he ordered through their stockists for some cheap-ass prices ^_^)
The only problem was getting the right RAM >_<
I don't intend to customize this laptop any further though, since as we all know there's only so far you can go with even a high-end lappy![:\](https://forum.z8games.com/resources/emoji/confused.png ":\")
I only like it for plane & train journeys, plus the start up is pretty instantaneous

I'll try it out on his computer before I buy it and let you know how it goes. This is a pointless argument because we're not seeing eye to eye. I'm not a complete idiot about computers but I'm no genius either. -

This 9800 GT with a P4 will run this game perfectly fine. I have the laptop equivalent GPU (GTX 260m) with a C2D (2GHz) and I get around 80-100 FPS.
If his computer is worse than the one he asked us about, putting that GFX card in will probably burn his whole PC.
Also GTX 260 is a bit more powerfull than 9800GT, atleast on sheet. GTS250 is the equavilent for 9800GT

It wouldn't burn it, many P4s run ok with those cards, although it would bottleneck the system. He can get a weaker 9 series card to be on the safe side.
BTW GTX260m = 9800 GT exact performance.
I'm saying the laptop GTX260, not the desktop one.

I use a T6426 Emachines and Crossfire works fine- fps goes over 100 sumtimes
fps is normally abt 40 or so 8 v 8
sure its moniter is small but that doesnt matter too much and the one in your link is a T6520- its even newer then mine so it must be better-also it comes with pc angel
pc angel has saved my computer a million times
my comp crashes from viruses to the point where it was useless like every yr because i download crap from everywhere all the time and dont use anti virus but it still works xD i think the comp is like 6 yrs old -
