What is this whole "Skill" thing?
This skill thing is just hand-eye coordination. So when you call some a Bad/Skill less it's not THEM that is bad it's that they're brain may be a LITTLE slower then others' as other people have faster brain's so this whole "Skill" Thing is NOT skill it's how fast your brain processes movement as I myself can tell
In a sniper match I see the target and it take's to long to actually acquire that is a target before my brain can actually process that It's a target and now the Pointer finger has to use the muscle to click so the whole "Skill" thing is BS It's just how fast your brain learns'/process's but you may also be asking "Then how do some people get better?" Well over time your brain will learn and just know what to do and when like with number's you know it so well that as soon as you see it you know what it is.
So basically this skill thing is BS
I'll put it in simpler term's
You eye's pick up the data, Go's to your brain where it process's then threw your nerve's into that muscle but if your brain is slower it take's longer Thus ending the hole "skilled" thing your just faster as others' are slower
There was another thread like this called "What is this skill thing?" and there was a comment "I can click faster" Sure you can but that's cause your brain is faster, It does NOT mean your Challenged it mean's your not as fast as some people which is normal.

You have a good point, I stated that the word noob is wrong because I know players that have played for months but still suck.. I also remember that the first few months I played this game a long long time ago I sucked but later on I played so much I got very good

(now I am just normal, not good and not bad either haha
) -
It's not that simple...
I found out that I play better after drinking a liter of beer, when my reaction time is supposed to be slightly worse. I guess that's because my playing becomes more unconscious. I no longer care about not dying or playing better, I just DO IT =p

They sucked because they didn't know the game, The map's, The recoil, The spray pattern so like me in EE I don't play SnD much so I'm not good at it but with TD I am because I play alot, Your brain learn's and pick's up so many time's it become's a constant thing -

Not every 1 is the same but this is for 98% of player's -
It's not just straight aiming. For example, pressure & perhaps luck can play weird things on aim - everyone has times when their aim is damn good, they are focused, they aren't tensing.
If it's a first FPS, it's about getting to learn a new, well, skill. The co-ordination required is different from say a RPG. Then you learn about taking more feedback from onscreen events and planning your next move. -
lol u serious?
Seriously, your survival and chance to kill depends on a lot more than just your reaction speed. Everything you do in the game counts towards your overall skill.... Tactics, communication with your team, gun choice depending on the situation/map, interpretation of things you see/hear, way of moving around.
You can have an awesome reaction speed and aim, but if you just run around like a chicken, you will end as a headless one... even against someone who would be way worse according to your post. -

This post defines skill. despite the fact that he says its not skill. the very stuff your describing is labeled "skill"
The fact that someone is faster means they have more skill at aiming. The word skill is used to define how good someone is. so don't say its BS.
Thats like saying that there is no such thing as "talent" when someone can learn an instrument with little to no practice or lessons.
Words are used to help us communicate and convey our thoughts and opinions. so this thread is one big oxymoron. -

Aiming builds about 10% of total "skill" in this game, so as an overall definition of "skill," this is terrible. -
Yeah.... ur thread is wrong. If a person is able calculate math faster than someone else... is that not a skill? Both people can be smart, and be able to calculate any given set of questions, but in the end the guy who does it faster would be said to have the greater math skills because of his ability to analyze and calculate faster.
Same thing for aiming. There are many things beside aiming, like game time strategy, how to lure your opponent out into open space, how to break into an opponent's defensive position.... etc... -

Skill in this game is being able to analyze situations and act accordingly.
You could have bad luck too, if you go the right way, there might be 1 noob enemy, which you can take out easily, if you go the left way, there might be 5 guys waiting for u....its not all about skill, 50% of this game is luck if not even more than that... -

True that. There aren't really too many 1v6 clutch situatinos lmao, so i guess luck does really come into play. -

Noone said luck wasn't involved, it's just about what skill is.
Tactical retreat is always an option btw.
