2nd: You back yourself with something completly off. y2k was about technology. 2012 is not about computers at all, its about nature, and you are sure stupid if you didnt realize its going worst and worst. And im not saying something crazy will happen in 2012. its not like aliens are coming or w/e, its about reliable science. I mean scientist openly said that their will be something ( and when i say something, its because 80% of this forum dont know what im talking about.) will happen. You just saying: It wont happen, but every scientist working studying earth changes and space and stuff like that can agree on the opposite, so your backing it with nothing.
I dont wanna go on a debate about it, its not like we are talking about a religion, or about the end of the world. And if you dont understand that, just read books about and know both side of the medal before saying something.

They also said global warming is going to drown the Earth by melting the polar ice caps... Yet if you look at history, this kind of thing has happened before. It is the cycle of Earth. Disasters are getting more severe due to higher temperatures, causing more severe catastrophes. But it isn't going to "make anything happen"... It will last a while, then stop.

Im gonna tell you something really simple, if you dont understand, too bad.
Think about that: Dinosaurs, they where here, and then meteor came and BANG, kill them ( simplified version!). Yet, its called new age. THEN, those who survived, rats and animals that where under the ground, lived and then BANG, new age. ( really simplified version, im just tired)
Now, you think because we can talk, build houses and play piano that those kind of things cant happen?

Meteor wiping dinosaurs is just a generally accepted theory, it hasn't been proven k. Get that straight right now. And ok think about another thing. Dinosaurs lived here for hundreds of millions of years before they went extinct. Really think we would go extinct after maybe 100k+/- years? I don't think so.

Does this mean some magnificent change in the cosmos is going to occur? Answer is most likely no. Get off the couch, stop watching the history channel, and do some real research, then come talk to me like you're a smart kid. -

You write like you're in middle school guy. I have read books, watched documentaries, videos, thoroughly researched, wrote a 10 page paper on this subject last quarter. Which is one reason why I am sure I know more about this subject than you. Your arguments make no sense. Your only comeback is "scientists say this is true" so you hang on their diick like it's the word of god coming from their mouth. Think on your own. Formulate your own opinions maybe.

Ok, first of all, im a french canadian, and I talk 4 language, so yeah, my lack of grammar in english is not a big deal + its 1 am, and im really tired. So as long as you understand what im writting, its fine. Else we can continue in french, Italian or Spanish.
Now, about all this '' I know more than you '' i never talked about nostradamus or Mayas. You did. THinking you would destroy my point. All your theories about it, is something anyone can argue with. You don't argue the science argument though. Giving examples of the scientific argument would be arguing the science argument. You're just saying science says it's right so that's what you're going with. That's literally the only thing coming out of your posts. I brought up nostradamus and the Mayan calendar to tell you why I don't believe in it. Why do you believe in it? Science? Give me some examples please or shut the hell up. Don't bother replying if the only thing you're going to say is "science says it's true". Specific examples or gtfo.
