3rd day with AK: mixed feelings - from AK newbie
special point: AK seems have a problem with its crosshair/spray when moving, you need to stop for 0.01 sec just to shoot and move on, unlike scarlight you can just move and shoot at the same time. have to know the rhythm of this gun
con: mid-range facing pro like scarlight/K2/let alone M4, you're overwhelmed, weak point
pro: it is strong, easy head shot, close counter OK
summary:
best for small maps like egypt/train, you just charge with soaring AK,check every corner/behind crates
medium map like monaco: don't try hard to counter sniper, for pro- sniper you get killed, try the middle field between the two spawn starting points
medium map like ship: don't try to shoot like M4, shooting across the map, when you get out of the room, go right to nail *******s in the corridor, instead of going left, try to counter xm8/m4/awm @ another side of the map
today's headshots more than yesterday, this one's lucky 6 out of 9 are headshots, usually 1/3 headshots today, still improving

just bought a Deagle, just find out changing to side arms even knifing people is fun when AK's reloading, 6 kills in a row, so AK-knife must be more fun for right clicking knifing people when reloading, defnitely better than this

il sum up my advice on the ak.
long range is the toughest for most people. most people single tap (keep your crosshairs head level) but if your comftorable with the recoil you can burst/spray long range also. i find myself doing 3 round burst at med/long. but if your gonna burst after the first shot jolt your crosshairs down and still aim the first shot at head level.
med range. burst or spray. it does not really matter, i find myself bursting as i dont like straight spraying (although i must admit when im frustrated, trying to hit some kid jumping i just control spray at him and it typically works)
close range spray.
and yea, mobility is tougher on the ak, not much advice i can offer in that field as im having issues with it also. i find that using obstacles (for example pillars in barracks on long a on BW) keeping your crosshairs head level, poping out and doing a shot or 2 at the head then retreating to cover. my advice is practice (read maltes guide also it will help) and play smart. even if you cant beat out the long range players, if you play smart enough to get into a close range or flank them, there isnt anything they will be able to do.
In general, i find keeping your crosshairs head level then dropping them to work in any sitatuation. m4/scars will be tough because the excel at long range but if you pick their head before they burst you, its no chance.

Cheers,

People say ak has bad spray but I love it.
It goes in a straight horizontal line about an inch above the crosshair.
Aim near their feet long range and just move ur mouse from side to side to aim it at them.
eZ imo.
Although I agree that I have trouble medium range. I find the spray takes too long to get to the state I previously mentioned. -
thats why you do 3 round burst ^.^ i honestly find the ak to be very similar to the m4, only with less stability. with both rifles, i do 3 round burst to the uper torso with hopes of the head.
P.S Luck i wanna test hitting a strafing target long range with ak while spraying, im in class now but help me l8r
