    In your dreams.
  • In all seriousness, if Escape decides to come back to the forums and/or CF, he'd be a great candidate in my opinion.

He hasn't played as much as a lot of us but he does have the experience from Closed Beta, has competitive experience from SF, and is just mature in general.

I agree, although as you say, he doesn't really play or forum atm.
  • Only problems I have with your list is that there is only 1 GM player on the list. I feel the GM community needs a bit more representation than they are getting now. I myself don't play GM but I feel they need a bit more attention.
  • As deltaco said earlier myself and BR and Del etc don't really have to make giant threads anymore because we can simply complain to Saidin directly.

And now that I've become a mod and been able to talk to Saidin more I see that besides firing off e-mails to those above him he can't do too much in the way of "Hey I want X, send me Xfile right now!"

But I would love to be part of this, did it exist. And I do miss waking up and making super long posts that turn into 10 page threads halfway through the day.

And I've played plenty of GM. There was a time when I was going to go all GM and I played it for a straight month almost. I know enough about it to hold things down.

    FIGHT THE POWER BOYYYYYYYYYYYYE!
  • Ahhaha, what is this?

Am I being nominated for quality control?

Problem is that all the coding comes from another country (read also: language) and that Saidin and the CMs can only suggest, not dictate how the game should be.

    I addressed that weirdo.
  • The problem is that the game is more or less complete in China/whatever and they're just adding things like an expansion pack.

But they ripped the game apart for the US and are slowly putting it back together patch by patch so naturally there are going to be issues.
  • I support this 100%.

As along with the members of the list. :)

    Great Idea.
  • Denxi, your single-gradient avatar is killing me.

I'm actually good with PS. The gradient was a PPI test that I'm too lazy to change atm.
  • Commonly quality assurance is arranged by the company. Although my argument is usually based on the fact how poorly this game is coded and maintained for the past months. Should we condemn this on developers or the “free 2 play” factor? As we are getting milked to the addiction of the game-play, I feel like this game has not lived up to my expectations. It's unpleasant enough that we acquire a low-quality port of crossfire, that anyone could accumulate with such on-going issues. I am not talking about glitches/bugs here, as that is a minority on my behalf. In general, in-game mechanics (Overall proficiency), Hitbox, netcode, anti-lag, etc.
  • Try other versions there clearly are differences.

Idealist to the core, would be interesting to have around.
  • You guy's are all fooling yourselves, not saying you are all dumb... but... you troll video game forums... I mean, don't start talking big and telling everyone that they should follow some well known members just because they have that ''general intelligence'' you claim they have.

By the way, the BEST way to lose your credibility is to be co.cky and actually have to tell people you think you have what it takes (you putting yourself up in the list of people to become leaders), I mean, if you have to claim that ''general intelligence'' you and your group have, then most likely you aren't what you think you are.

If you really were smart, you wouldn't claim you are, if you were really competitive, you wouldn't tell everyone you are, if you were really experienced, guess what, you wouldn't have to tell no one because people choose their leaders, ''leaders'' don't choose their people.

Also, trying to get known players by your side by putting them up there won't help the ''legitness' of your proposal, since in my own opinion, an elite comitee in a fuc.king video game is just rediculously dumb.

You should just go on and have that power trip somewhere else, same for whoever said they would like to be apart of that generally intelligent group of VIDEOGAMERS claiming they were smart and everything.

I don't think I'm smart, but I sure do think this idea is dumb as heck.

Those are just my 2 cents, I don't really care... The guy's that are on the list are for sure respectable men and players, no doubt, I just think it should stay that way.
  • Sorry about that, but: ''Myself (Denxi) - Advanced Movement and Glitch understanding, Competitive SnD, Experience, General Intelligence'' really made me laugh... especially the two first parts...

You claim you know in-game movement and how to glitch... Good suff...
Then you talk about competitive SnD experience when CLEARLY everyone has agreed upon the fact there is no such thing (yet). If I remember, doops, Kahlan, malte and Bruce said it themselves...
For the experience and general intelligence, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
  • First thing to realize is that this is not ever going to happen, and the way Denxi explained it isn't exactly as you are reading it phubez.

As for the people he picked for this imaginary roster, most of the choices seem solid. People from different clans (most top SnD), people who care a bit more than others for the game and are relatively mature. Obviously the list would have needed MM and GM players and they don't 'need' to be the best at what they do. Doesn't take a complete genius to figure out glitches and imbalances.

The thing is, almost everything is common knowledge (and hasn't been fixed) and the rest are things that won't be fixed. (Won't is a strong word, but lets face reality). His idea was to have a few players who basically have the suggestion power of a GM/MOD even though they don't have any 'admin powers'. Again I will bring up the point that it is useless because the people that make the decisions aren't really listening to people.

    To elaborate a little:

-First is that in any game the higher the competitiveness the less options for them. (this is why having your own dedicated server and league are essential) Games are tailored for mass players that play on slightly lower levels.

-Not everyone has the same opinion. This includes developers, managers, GM, competitive players (PvP), regular players (PvE).

-As far as I have been told the hierarchy and way the CF system goes is like this:
    4.mod
    3.GM/CM
    2.Licensees/decision makers
    1.Korean(?) Developers

As Saidin has said before, he listens to and brings suggestions to the higher ups. However, they have the way they want the game to be and as far as their actions show so far they weigh heavily in the $$$$$$ side. (not saying they shouldn't, but a little consideration is never given)

Next, as the developers also have the way they want the game, they may not agree to some of the changes or will work half-assed on them. Also, anything that isn't in another mode (like weapons or major game differences) will never be added.

As this game has little legitimacy to a truly competitive game (to many inconsistencies in the coding, not the players), phubez is correct in that.

So basically what I am saying is that the players are the bottom of the bottom of a huge pyramid for suggestion and game changes. Just do what I have done and stop playing this game for the competition and play more for fun.
  • How about we get people who actually work in the games industry, like me. I understand the ins and outs of 99% of the problems the game has, iv seen em all before even codemasters,THQ,Square Enix,Bedethsa etc etc etc got the same in game probs.

But the biggest difference could be made by nubs actually pressing f11 or starting a kik in the first place.

Mabey z8 should send in some undercover 007's to get replay data, then they will see the games biggest issue.
  • This is what I was waiting for, Thanks.

Just because I respond to stupidity doesn't mean I'm stupid. This wasn't about creating a following either, please re-read or re-phrase.

I'm not being ****y. By your logic, anyone who applies to be a MOD shouldn't be chosen, because they're too ****y.

Again, with the "leaders" cmment, please re-read or re-phrase

If you really were smart, you wouldn't claim you are, if you were really competitive, you wouldn't tell everyone you are, if you were really experienced, guess what, you wouldn't have to tell no one because people choose their leaders, ''leaders'' don't choose their people.

You seem to think this is soley a way for me to "increase my standing" in this community.

Why the **** would I need to do that? I brought double jumping to this game, ffs. I really don't care what complete idiots think of me. They're complete idiots, their opinions don't matter :O

Although continually reading your "leader" comments, it looks like you didn't read the post properly. Either that or your mad you aren't on the theoretical list, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

Also, trying to get known players by your side by putting them up there won't help the ''legitness' of your proposal, since in my own opinion, an elite comitee in a fuc.king video game is just rediculously dumb.

    AGAIN, RE-READ THE POST.

I chose those people because they had actual qualifications which I pointed out in other posts on this thread.

Read the mutha ****ing thread before you mutha ****ing post.

Although if you are just mad, you won't even care.

You should just go on and have that power trip somewhere else, same for whoever said they would like to be apart of that generally intelligent group of VIDEOGAMERS claiming they were smart and everything.

So you think we should get a physicist to tell GMs what would improve Crossfire and what wouldn't?

I don't think I'm smart, but I sure do think this idea is dumb as heck.

Because trying to help a game you play improve is stupid?

If that's the case, I'll take being called "stupid" as a compliment.

Those are just my 2 cents, I don't really care... The guy's that are on the list are for sure respectable men and players, no doubt, I just think it should stay that way.

I know more about glitching in this game then anyone who I've encountered at this point, including the weirdos at EM PEE GEE EHCH. I'd be willing to help fix it if I actually had a bigger chance for my suggestions to be heard. That is why I put that up.

You claim you know in-game movement and how to glitch... Good suff...
Then you talk about competitive SnD experience when CLEARLY everyone has agreed upon the fact there is no such thing (yet). If I remember, doops, Kahlan, malte and Bruce said it themselves...

    @ The competitive SnD
I'm obviously taking what little "competition" we've had and basing it off of that. If you read past posts you'd realize I have to same opinion. It's not even a major factor, just something for the background.

This is another quote I got from the restoration thread.
Back on topic, I think it's a decent idea, however, you need official admins and stuff that can be regulated, not power hungry kids that want to make a name for themselves the easy way...

    Ohhhhhhhhhh myyyyyyyyyy gooooooooooooooood.

I'M not trying to raise any status. Please calm yourself, re-read my post, and if you STILL believe that I am only doing this to make people in the community love me and do what I want them to, beat yourself over the head with a hammer.

    Then come post.
