Adding more, I wasn't crying at all and raging at the thread because of puppies, so, I'm not an (fixing your fail grammar.) emo. -
ok, i will further mention:
- i was with the romanian version of the ALF...which was called, creatively i might add, the ALF (-_-) where i proudly took part in 3 strikes on 2 university's of biology where they did research on street dogs and ferrets. We freed the ferrets and dogs and trashed the places.
- i was an anarcho-syndicalist activist participating mostly in the organizing and coordinating of protests against McDonald's and KFC for animal cruelty.
so, if you eat meat, if you especially eat fast food meat of any kind, or any other products that come from animals you murder not one but a number of animals every single time you pay for it. lolli, do you not own any type of shoes that contain animal hides? don't you eat meat? don't you occasionally go to Mikey D's? While i can agree the action is of a different kind, and you might even argue that they get killed for a purpose, keep in mind that it has been proven these animals die in horrible pain, and the ones that are grown inside a cage all their lives have it worse; that is senseless torture for easier handling and transport, beside the death that follows. You mentioned a life is a life no matter what... well honestly lolli death is death no matter what, for all things, plants, animals bugs, us; it comes eventually and I've found that the way society as a whole is built, it will take many many years for people to start unanimously caring about more than themselves and eventually their family. Hence "shiit happens". Indeed if I would see something like what has happened in those videos taking place i would stop it and since I'm the violent type I would bash the little brats but other than that... what can you do, I'm not about to cry over this as opposed to crying over something else or not crying at all... how many people cried when a friend of mine hanged himself?

I'm nolifers btwThat's why I said senseless murder. The meat I eat, or the leather I wear does not come from senseless murder or animal cruelty. Over here there are very strict rules for holding, transporting and slaughtering life stock to prevent animal cruelty. And I only eat meat or wear clothing that comes from a farm that supports these rules.
However, I do not support the hypocrisy that is called vegetarianism either. Again, a life is a life, and a cow or a cabbage both have equal rights to theirs. But I'm human, and thus an omnivore by nature. So I will behave according to my nature. And if I eat the cow, why not wear it's skin as well. It will give even more purpose to her death. Live and let live doesn't mean that you should put your own life second to those of others. It means, take from nature what you need to survive, and treat all life with the same respect as if it was your own.
And why would I cry over someone who chooses to take his own life? Its his life to take. How stupid his choice may have been, it was still his choice to make. And I can only respect his choice, even if I don't agree with it. The only reason I would cry over his death would be for my own selfish reasons, like having to miss him. But I don't know your friend, so I don't know what to miss about him, and therefore have no reason to cry over his death.

first of all you can't compare a cabbage to a cow, a cabbage has no brain so it 1: feels no pain 2: has no emotions... among other obvious things.. vegetarianism isn't hypocrisy, it's a food preference lol, VEGANISM is probably what you were thinking of... but still..no hypocrisy, its actually quite noble for those that can handle it.
as for my friend, it was just as an example, and he took his own life because he was very very very unlucky in life... -

Edit: In R.R recently (My home town) a man was caught on the edge of the river with a bag of puppies. They actually caught him in time to save the little puppies. I was so happy. ^_^ -

The cow was killed for food and clothing the puppies where killed for there on pleasure see the difference. You dont kill animals for the fun of it so theres your sign -

I disagree that you can't compare the two. Just because the life of a cabbage is differently from that of a cow, doesn't mean it can just be dismissed as less valuable.
