Do you always say the truth?

A few years a go, i used to ALWAYS say the truth, i never lied but there was a consequence... hurting people's feelings =S

i guess that my problem was getting straight to the point without thinking and looking for a proper way.

Even saying the truth in a proper way causes troubles...

I've seen many liars getting along with everyone...

and me... a guy who never lied being hated by many people X_x

Since I figured it out I started to lie just for not so important stuff not to cause troubles and it's going well...

So what do you think about lying?

I'm honest to the extent that it doesn't hurt someone,in real life anyway.

Rules Of Honesty don't exist over the internet.

I'm completely honest 100% of the time, sure the truth can hurt. But lieing is NEVER a good idea, period. If it would hurt someone, then just don't say anything.

If you're directly asked the question then tell the truth. Like I said, Lying is never good.

I tell the truth, unless its to protect someone from hurt. Wait thats a lie...never mind.

the other day one friend was talking to me on msn

I was playing crossfire and i didn't reply

when i had time and replied, she asked me why i ignored her

i told her that i was playing crossfire, she was mad... and it took me an hour to fix it...

the next day she talkd to me again and i was playing crossfire... I ignored her again but when she asked me, i told her that i was having lunch, and she just said oh ok xD

That's so annoying.. I hate it when people take stuff over MSN or texting seriously.
But.. why would you tell a girl you were playing games in the first place?

That's there own problem if someone chooses to get upset based on a certain answer. I'd of still told the truth, but hey that's just the way I am. To each his own I guess.

sometimes lying is the fastest and most effective exit.

here an example xD

I was invited to a prom meeting and i didn't wanna go...

my friends asked why and i told them that i dun like dancing, drinking and smoking, it is just boring to me.
then they kept insisting and saying that we'd have a great time... and so on

a week later, they asked again but it was on msn xD I lied by saying that i was sick and they stop insisting o_o

fast solution huh?

what you should of said was soorrry i was buzy doing something then its not lying ^^

i did it, still got angry =(

Truthful with peoples who are close to me.

I used to tell the truth a lot, I always did, even if it completely killed someone on the inside. But now I feel like I'm making small lies to protect myself from getting hurt here and there, bad habit that I'm trying to break.
