i think 2-3 maps (depending on if a team wins 2 straight games)
(7 rounds each half)
1 map isn't enough to show the full extent of a team, it's easy for a team to outplay a team on one map but than get their ass kicked on a different. It's only fair if a team plays on at least 2 different maps. The best way to know if a team is better is if they win on at least 2 maps. -

I wouldn't put everything on the line -in a tourney- for one map/chance -.-'1 of 9, until semi's or good prized quarters, best of 3 maps, still 9 rounders.
That makes sense. -

like fallout said, the full extent of a team can't be shown in one map.
a team could be extremely familiar with one map, know all the spots and correct calls. then the next map, they just get wiped out.
the full extent of a team cannot be shown with 2 maps either -
I like 1 map, 9 rounds because then it just gets confusing for the team leaders to count every round on each map. On one map, you get one chance to prove yourself.
SSes do the counting job.
And it's would be round total over the 2 maps, not individual map wins.
