  • I've got no idea what kind of specs you're looking for on this thing, but CRT monitors and TVs use electron guns to light up the phosphors on the screens, so you might be able to scavenge one of those. Just keep in mind that CRTs can have enough residual charge in their capacitors to kill you long after they're turned off and unplugged, so open one up at your own risk. I'm not aware of any commercially available electron emitters that aren't going to cost you a few federal grants, but that doesn't mean they aren't out there.

i suspected that old TVs had electron sources but i was not sure since i was not able to confirm that, and im aware that the CRTs could kill me but thanks for the warning anyway, i have all the security issues arranged and prepared in case the worse happens. Thank for confirming that there might exist electrons sources on old TVs and on CRTs ;) and i guess u r right because actually buying one would be extremely expensive so in case we have to buy one we r thinking of asking financial help to the university or to the cientific research facility.
thanks for ur help ill be sure to put ur name( well as i dont know ur name ill put ur forum nao xD) in the people that help section of the work :)
