One final warning on our Anti-cheat policy - PLEASE READ
Just to clarify:
If you have ANY injector for ANY game we will serve that violation with a permanent ban. We are not here to police personal ethics, as such you would only be banned for having cheats for supported CSN games. However, if you are found to have an injector regardless of the game you use it for, it will result in a permanent ban. I want to make that very clear right now so that I will not be held liable when someone is flagged for them. At some point, it will happen and I am making it known now that I gave everyone proper warning. Good Luck to all the teams that are participating. Have a little bit of fun

this is SORT OF unfair but at the same time, hackers deserve to be banned from every game >:-]
good job
Question:
how does the csn scout work? does it upload info while its on or does it just monitor or something, or does it send info to be checked out AFTER the user closes it, or closes the game -

1st part: Having cheats from an unsupported game has no value on competing in a CSN event. However, having an injector on your computer suggests the possibility of an intent to use those files (whether unrelated or not). We aren't taking any risks and simply cutting this off at the head. No injectors is a lot safer than not. Thank you for the support.
2nd part: It uploads real-time while you are playing. Nothing is required from the user-end except logging into the client and playing :-) -

thanks, so what would happen if lets say the csn scout crashed in the middle of the game? And do you have to open crossfire AFTER you open up the ac? -
Well in the case of it crashing that's where it gets interesting. It is the player's responsibility to exit the game to go log back into the client and re-enter the game. We have the ability to verify the times a user logs in and out of Scout. Therefore, if the opponent team disputes the match on count of a player not running Scout, we can verify if that player logged back in or not. If a player is found in this situation to not have restarted it and played without the client on, then it's bad news. To your 2nd question, yes you must have Scout running before you start Crossfire.

ok, if it crashes, is the player allowed to wait till the end of the round he is in to restart? imo, that would be more fair -

Not particularly. Too many variables in that situation. Not having Scout on pretty much leaves the possibility of getting cheats on even for a split second and they wouldn't be flagged. By letting a player participate until the end of the round, does not ENSURE fair play. It leaves room open for "what if" and that is not fair. Plus, I guarantee the other team will dispute the match in any event a player didn't run the anti-cheat 100% of the time. Luckily, the Scout software is quite stable and does not take a huge amount of resources. We shouldn't have many problems with crashing. I haven't heard too many problems with crash issues so far. -
lol. k
well at least, if the client crashes, or the game crashes, it wont be like the wogl ac, cuz you don't have to wait forever to open it up again due to the loading bull.
Haha yeah it's very quick to load up which is a plus. You won't lose much in-game time. I'd say Crossfire would crash before Scout does, haha :P -
its not funny how VEEERY likely that is to happen :S
oh yeah, since u said it, if cf crashes, do we need to restart scout too? or just load cf back?
with wogl you just load CF back. i'm going to guess it works that way with every anti-cheat but kris can confirm/deny this -

Any programs out there that would possibly detect injectors on your computer?
I don't wanna get banned for something I didn't know about
Thanks.
the only way an injector gets on your computer is if you download it.
have you downloaded any hacks/cheats/trainers/mods for any game? -

This ^^
There is no way you wouldn't "know" about an injector on your computer. Any injector you have you would have had to download it at some point. We have given proper warning that all injectors will result in a ban, if found. It is your responsibility to get rid of them if you have any. -

i dont really get the way 'injectors work' and i never downloaded 1, but just like some programs can be treated as viruses on certain anti virus software, is it possible for a certain program to be treated like an injector? -

easiest way to tell if it is an injector is if you load a game/mod with something that isn't the default shortcut on your desktop
for example, d2loader is an injector
