Graphics card question

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Hard Drive: 119 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420

If I got a 450w Power Supply (I currently have a 250w), what [compatible] graphics card could I get that would give me a stable 50/60 fps, without having to buy a new PC? I currently get 15-60 in 5v5's; usually around 25-35, but it keeps fluctuating.

Well you don't have an PCI-E slot. So your pretty much boned on a "decent" card. You can get like an agp video card. But that is just horrible.

I do agree though, new system would be a better idea.

I wish they made sense with all the numbers, 8400, 8600 fx, blahblah. I googled some stuff before and illogically, some older ones are better then some new ones, plus, the numbers aren't always chronological...

also, I have a normal, small monitor. It's saying how some of the GC's need support for VGA/DVi which someone told me means a LCD monitor, which I don't have.

What is the best forum to ask about these kinds of things that know exacly what would/wouldn't work and what would get me to where I want to be (stable 60 or 50 fps)?

VGA/DVI =/= LCD

anyway, buy a new rig
