CrossFire Does Not Start

When I open crossfire and then press start game, the box goes away and does nothing. When I click crossfire again and click game start, the box goes away and a smaller box appears and says: Patch client is already running. Also the boxes around the start game button and other buttons do not load. However i was able to play one time for like 5 minutes, then my computer went into sleep mode while playing for some reason. My computer definitely supports this game because when i was playing it in the five minute period of time I had no problems with lag whatsoever.I have installed this over and over countless times and still nothing works. If someone can reply and answer to this soon, that be very greatly appreciated.

P.S. I've searched all over the internet and these forums and still nothing came close to the problem, and if it did it didn't work or answer my question.
