4. File is changed : W[2007] L[5] crossfire.exe Error when loading the game after the patch. Error may also be W[2007] L[2]. This issue seems to be related to AVG or other antivirus programs thinking that crossfire.exe has a virus and change the file in trying to fix it. Please make sure to allow that file and ignore it or disable the active scan (Resident Shield for AVG) of that antivirus program for now and you should be fine.

If anyone finds any more issues after the patch please let us know in this post and we will work to get the problem fixed quickly.

I would like to confirm the Badge bug, it happened to me after I got my Elite badge, I automatically got Scout Level 2 and Sniper Skill 2 after I got my Assassin level 2 Badge and re-log. So i didn't end up getting my 5k Gp reward from the 2

The first badge I won was scout which showed up ok. Then I got soldier and soon after assassin. I check now and the first badge I got, scout, has disappeared and shows I have to earn it again?

I was looking forward to getting my last 100 kills as sniper to get my first elite badge.

Any help please?

Update on the above.

I have just closed the game and started it again. Now I have all badges even tho I havent got the 300 sniper killes yet, only 200 ish.

Well at least I got the ones I actually earnt back!

I did the knife badget and got the knife, scout and sniper But only the knife badget got rewarded.

Now I made soldier, too. I got the reward but I dont receive one for the elite badget.

The badge system isnt working for me. I got the sniper badge. Then after about 2 games I lost the kill marks and the kills for the badge reset to 300. I still have my lvl1 C badge though.

Same problem as Vongola.. Earned sniper badge, kill marks didnt change and bar showed i need another 300 kills.. I did another 300 kills (tough, kicked on prison three times ), finally got kill marks and bar showed 700 needed for another level.. Ive done another 140 kills, but total count bar says again 142/300 instead of 700.. That would be the third time i had to do first badge, that sucks..

I seem to get "Disconnected From Server" at the end of each round.

This is a very big disadvantage towards me, as it counts as ONE, a desertion, and
two, if I did good in that game, I lose my experience and game points.

tojin in the downloader

im being blocked by my ad aware spyware scanner and being told that its a trojin horse codex .....from the downloader of cf ....


now i posted a thread already ...

after the patch i played for a couple hours no prob ....
then ran my ad aware as i always do ....
it showed a hi threat and deleted it ....
a day later i go to play and what do i find ....
a trojin is being blocked by my ad aware ...a spyware scanner....and i found trojin codex linked to your lil downloader and xtrap's as well....
so i figure when you guys figure out you issues and do a fix it patch ....i might think about buying z8 points again.

I've got this problem.
I got my first badge and all and decided to work on the others, though I knew it'd take me a little while. However, I'd been playing for awhile and went on a Ghost Mode match. Finished the match and all of the sudden I have level one of all badges, including elite. I know there is no way I could have done those in a ghost mode match alone.
I do wonder if the past head shot counts, kill counts, etc etc are having an effect...but I don't really know much about these kinds of things.

Good luck getting things straightened out.

spent yesterday earning my first two assassin badges, got them and the reward for them, but i also got the first 2 sniper and scout badges and i didnt even try working on them yet. also did not receive a reward for the glitched badges(first two sniper and first 2 scout), hope u guys find out the issue soon, i wanna do this 100% legit and get my gps so i can win that msg90

Ok this is what happened to me:

On 16 Sep i was putting mario kill marks in the "Mark" folder so i could try them out and then i pressed "Start Game" and it was loading then it said "File is changed: W[2007] L[2] crossfire.exe :S

Next day i did the same and i still get the same message!! its rlly ****ing me off. I CANT LIVE WITHOUT CROSSFIRE!!! Someone plzzzzz get a solution to this problem plzzzzzzzzz i cant survive without cf Plzzzzzzzzzzzz help pplz :'[

I even tried doing what people said like disabling my anti virus thingy and etc but i still get the same message!!!!!!!!! SUM1 HELP!!

my badge is lost i maked 300 kills then i log back again and they was gone. I dont wanna do 300 kills again p.s I get the reward 2k gp

I think this thread should definitely be stickied had some confusion finding it.

Well I am trying to find the "crossfire.exe" file but I can't find it anywhere in the crossfire directory. I figure if I can include that in the AVG exceptions list then it will work but can't find the actual file.

There is no way I am turning off resident shield I would rather just not play the game anymore. There must be another way around this though. Or maybe some detailed instructions on how to make it work with AVG because obviously just adding the directory of Crossfire isn't enough.

I mean I did have the trojan horse thing pop up but I got that fixed by adding crossfire to the exceptions on resident shield. But this seems to be different and just not so sure that turning off resident shield for any reason is very smart.

If running AVG or other anti virus programs please try and add the file "crossfire.exe" etc. as safe or avoid the scanning of the file or just disable the active scan (Resident Shield for AVG) of the virus scan for now and see if you still get the error.

Seems to fix the issue for us here after testing it with some programs.

I added the crossfire directory to the exceptions and also added the file crossfire.exe and still got the same thing. So then I turned off the resident shield completely and still get the same error.

I keep getting this annoying problem where when I join a room a little box comes up and it says "vertex lock failed". Then when I actually join the game ad im in the game my screen goes black and all i can see is the water that is in that map also a few fuzzy lines keep appearing can someone please help me?

Black Screen during Actual GP

For some reason i get a black screen when i join a room... i can only see my teammates name floating on a black background and also the mini map along with the character health and ammo count the weapon display thingy on the right side when you switch from main to secondary/nades/knife and the chat.

Also i can't see the character preview in the shop and in the storage...

Tried re-installing didn't work, i think some files are missing. i checked the game files "C:\Program Files\Z8\CrossFire\rez" and idk if its normal but it seems to jump from file "RF110.REZ" to "RF113.REZ"
