Help Aero with his homework!!!

As a member of the 21st century community you and your friends use words that were not around even 15 years ago. For this discussion you will have a turn at building everyone's 21st century vocabulary.
For your discussion thread add a vocabulary word - related to emerging technology, it's definition and origin (what is the word derived from or came from and when was the word first used). Google your word to get a full understanding of it's meanings.
Here is an example that you can used to model your Discussion answer.
Flash Drive-"related to a solid state drive, is a storage device that uses flash memory rather than conventional spinning platters to store data. Unlike a USB flash drive or keydrive, flash drives tend to physically imitate conventional hard drives in size, shape, and interface so that they may act as a replacement for hard drives." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_drive) I use mine to carry information back and forth from my home computer and school. The flash drive was invented by Dr Fujio Masuoka in 1984.
Make sure to Quote your source if you copy your definition from the internet.

My word is noob.
A noob or n00b is someone that lacks intelligence or common sense, most
people think that noob is a word used only in the online gaming world,
but in reality it is becoming an ever popular word with teenage society.
a noob could be simply a level 100 running round shouting ''WTF DO I
GO!?'' or someone calling someone else a noob and then getting hit with
a brick, anyone can call anyone a noob, but normally they are noobs
themselves.

Final result, yea I'm a slacker.
