Infractions are actually permanent no matter.
The points are the part that is supposed to expire. And when they do its supposed to reduce the level of the ban.
We've had some problems in the past with the infraction system. If you feel that your ban is expired and should be over you can ask to have it removed.
Infractions are a way to permanently keep a record of how "bad" you are. Since almost all of us working on the forums, gm's and mods are out of patience you can understand why a lot of us don't have much sympathy.
The rules are there for a reason. Intentional abuse of them is just gonna result in this kind of thing.
And if you've noticed all the other changes going on, the forums are in line for some updating and changes in the relative near future. The infraction system is something we are going to be looking at to improve. -

Being part of a online game Staff requires of alot of patience, why would you pick ppl that doesn't got any of it?
Sorry What I mean by that is that we DO have a lot of patience.
But when we let something slide on the forums or hand out the minimum punishment possible we do so in the hopes that someone learns.
When they do not figure that out, then we have to step it up to something more significant.
If this means an infraction so be it. If the infraction doesn't expire correctly then you can come to us to have the ban lifted as it were.
If the person continues to break the rules of the forums then they can expect to have further actions taken against them. In the form of permanent bans and in-game suspensions.
Our patience extends because currently its easier to reverse and correct botched bans than it is to fix the system. But our patience for that is running dry, not only do we want to give out less infractions and want the community to be "better". We want to have to work around these problems less. Thus the need to fixing of some of these features. Thus the action taken by us recently with some of the changes being made. This stuff is just on a long list of things that is being taken care of over time. Eventually the forums will reach the top of that list and we can improve on a system that desperately needs it. -

One question.
"If this means an infraction so be it. If the infraction doesn't expire correctly then you can come to us to have the ban lifted as it were."
By this, you mean I could PM you? -

PM works best, but support tickets are fine as well.
