I have an iPhone 3gs on firmware 3.1.3 jailbroken already with spirit, and I have SHSH files saved for 4.0 and 4.0.1 on cydia, I want to upgrade to 4.0.1 and jailbreak it again I found this video very helpful : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yvSmGWE4Zk
Although its about downgrading, its the same process as upgrading..
So to get to the point. I have iTunes 9.0.2.25 which allows me to run the 3.1.3 firmware, but if I want to upgrade to 4.0.1 iTunes won't work with it, so what version of iTunes shall I download for it to work, and the more important question is do I download the new version of itunes after or before the steps listed in the video, cause I'm worried that if I download it before those steps it won't let me restore to 4.0.1 coz the newer versions of itunes don't open older versions of firmware.

one more thing I read some comment that the latest version of itunes (10) doesn't let you do this.
