Z8Games banning system....

Especially with the tournament going on, how hackers r banned has so many flaws. Firstly because they are banning people only with what they see. I mean a "pro" can go through a whole game with the enemies names on the screen, and the gms wouldnt be able to know. I know you guys all say that there experts and crap at spotting chammers/wall hackers, but with alot on the line for banning an innocent people, i can see alot of chammers getting away during the tournament. 'If' i used hacks, I could just pretend like the names on the screen arent there, but in my head i would actually know where every1 is. Thus making me nearly invinsible to be killed from behind or something like that. Also the GMs clearly dont watch every single player throughout the whole replay. Meaning they could easily miss suspicious stuff happening.

. Isnt there a way they can check your mac ip or something, to see what software your running while you play, or they can get some sort of autoban system that detects hacks? I know some games have these.

  • No matter what anti cheat system programs you have or system in place, people will always accuse others of cheating.

Especially in this game, with (guessing) an average player age of 14/15.

Even in the upper tiers of CS, people are still caught cheating. And perfectly legit players who are just "too good" go through a phase in which everyone accuses them of cheating.

The only way to end all the talk is to have a LAN event in which the player in question shows up and plays as amazing as he does online (Should be easy with no lag)

However, z8 is hesitant to throw a LAN, most likely because the 14/15 year old demographic would have a hard time convincing mommy to let him take the Dell to a hotel convention room and stay overnight playing in a room full of strangers.
  • Haha, see how many clans have been most likely hacking through the tournament, and now they're banned in the 2nd/3rd/4th round. Fail. Imagine the clans who lost to them in the 1st rounds, and now there out.. becuz their opponents got away with hacking. How unfair is this, those clans who lost in the
1st/2nd rounds for all we know could have been the champions! This prooves that you can get away with hacking in this tournament, and for all we know even the winners of this tournament could be chammers.
I myself had respect for Clover and now I find out they were hacking as well? I don't know what clan to trust.

    aDr vs Sorry Final round.

Btw Z8 dont begin a tournament when your buddy and clan server is down for 2 weeks. Not all clans use ventrilo, and it is complicated to communicate. Just saying.

uhm they got DQ'ed, some members banned, and they still got away with it? I don't get you:rolleyes:
  • They were getting away with it through rounds 1-3... Pritty cheap for the clans who had to face them. Should have been banned from the 1st round, but due to the fail banning system they weren't.
  • Or may be the clans that faced them in the 1st rounds didn't reported them, or simply they were not cheating in those rounds, please don't jump into conclusions...
  • The GMs did watch the replays.. so they were obviously 'reported'. And I said MOST likely they were cheating in the other rounds, which I believe they were.
