Cross Fire Project.
Hi,
I was bored and noticed a major issue with Cross Fire as well as its "community". First of all, we all know how poor the descriptions as well as the weapon stats are in game. Secondly I believe the current "reviewers" are lacking. I feel they fail to provide useful information to allow individuals to make informed choices.
What I am suggesting, I would like to compile information about the main weapons in Cross Fire. I would like to put together data on reload speed, rate of fire, damage, spray pattern, sound and other key factors that effect which weapon you plan on using. I am aware that Denxi has begun a project similar to this however I am unaware of his progress. I believe Denxi had done quite a bit of work in regards to sound but had not completed weapons. Furthermore I am sure Denxi will be quite busy with CSN.
I would like to find a few other players that are willing to put in some time to compile information in a semi-scientific manner in order to provide the CF community with some what accurate information about the weapons they use and/or plan on using.
If you would like to help, send me a PM or post here. Work will be done on Beef's ventrilo server, as it is basically where I hide.
edit 1:
Probably need a few with most of the guns, I am missing a few here and there. Although if not I can probably get my hands on an account with the ones I do not currently own. I would also like to test the differences and record stats on all ZP/GP crate guns as "factual" information on those guns is very limited at the moment in my opinion.
edit 2:
I think I would like to start with the M4 series and work on from there. Probably AK 47 series next continue going from the "family" with the most extra weapons to ones with the least. As I am guessing the majority of the CF community would be interested in seeing the differences between those weapons?

Well, it would not be official as I in no way represent Smiley Gate, G4Box, or Z8 games. It would simply be an attempt to allow players to have better information. Currently the information provided by Z8 games on their website as well as in game is flawed. Anyone that has played around with the compare system knows its glitched. And from what I have seen on You Tube I feel the review videos fail to provide individuals with the information required to make any sort of choice.
I mean, ever wonder what "high" rate of fire was? I want to be able to give players a general amount of time it would take to spray 30 bullets. Then based off that give them a sense of its actual rate of fire. Ever wonder what a "fast" reload was? I would like to see a number... basically I want to allow players to decide for themselves rather then having to trust someone who calls anything from a 2-3 second reload fast. And ends up saying every gun is amazing!wonkydonky wrote: »buy me the guns ill help
I'll just test the damage on you kkbyethx. -

Have class, but just to give people an idea of what I want to do.
Here is a comparison between the rate of fire on the M4 regular, M4-S Crystal and the M4-Silver.
For each weapon I tested 20 times. While I will have to test it a few more times to be certain as well as get other players to test as well this is what I have come up with.
M4A1 30 bullets: 2.92 seconds BPS: 10.28
M4A1-S Crystal 30 bullets: 2.94 seconds BPS: 10.21
M4A1-Silver 30 bullets: 2.95 seconds BPS: 10.18
Of course there is a margin of error in this case is rather large, more data needs to be collected. If anyone wants to help just try timing spraying 30 bullets. Record the information and send it to me via pm's , xfire (1icyph3r), or post it here. Of course there are issues, and the accuracy is limited however its still better then simply saying "fast rate of fire". -

Sorry I couln't do all the GP guns, but you can compare some of them.
Oh nice, this has a lot of the information that I wanted. Just wondering how many times did you do time trials? -

Only 2 times and I took the middle
I should have done it more precise, but I didn't have time.
The main goal of this Thread wasn't to give 100% true data, but
to infrom everybody that X weapon is faster than Y one. Y weapon
is stronger but slower than X one...
And I added my personnal feeling and a 5 shots burst comment. -

Yeah, that is more or less my thoughts as well. I know my numbers will be far from perfect however I believe they will give a better idea then using words with no other reference to describe the guns. -

Still need to do a lot, but the full M4A1 series is complete as far as damage goes. I simply put box damage in a % as it varies slightly at different ranges. But in general is around there... -

This is nice. Are you going to make a full guide that's easier to read after you finish testing?
