CF wont start on my laptop

hi guys, i have been playing cf on my brothers pc for a while and i enjoyed it.
i installed it on my laptop running windows vista but everytime i try to start the game my screen freezes. the game opens up in a black window and when i click somewhere in this window i got a new window asking between the options ending the process or waiting for answer.

is this a common problem or somehow just mine?
on my brothers pc running windows xp the game used to run smoothly( not anymore coz of some data errors my brother doenst care about)

my systemconfiguration shouldnt be the problem.

This happens to all crossfire players.
Just wait, don't click anything.
Open crossfire, and leave it.
Might take a while, depending on your laptop specs.

When running vista it takes a few minutes for CF to load up. DO NOT click on anything, eventually it will load. It may also say that CF is not responding..just let it load.

If the laptop is a AcerAspireOne it will not work due to screen to small

Can we get the system specifications.

Lieutenant3 and MsMurder are right. For some reason, Vista will not display the loading screen. When the screen goes black, just leave the computer alone for a few minutes while it loads. Eventually, the log in screen will pop up.
