New Weapon suggestion
I new to this game (aka n00b). Until now I used MP5 and suited me perfectly in any situation on trainee-corporal server. Now when I'm playing with "big boys" and I found out that MP5 just can't cope on bigger maps against other players.
So I need a new weapon.
I'm basically looking for MP5s bigger brother/sister which is good when used at longer ranges.
From weapons I managed to get my hand on in-game I liked the most Steyr Aug A1 and G36K, but it's hard to get a clear picture from just couple of frags.
I also read a lot of the posts and guides but I'm not still certain witch weapon to buy so any shared experience and suggestions would be welcome.

if you are new
get a M4 its the best half to long range gun you an get
also get a desert eagle -
I tried M4A1 and i don't like it, that is why I bought MP5 in the first place when I started playing.
I need something with a good FIRE RATE / (RECOIL * WEIGHT) rate so I can keep it steady even when I'm emptying clips full auto. But because of my lack of experience I can't judge that well just by looking at numbers in weapon stats. -

It sounds like you're leaning towards the SCAR Light. It has good accuracy and low recoil, if it's fired whilst stationary. However, it's got an unpredictable spray pattern if you're moving, so if you like to rush a lot then I suggest you choose a different weapon (K2 perhaps?). Otherwise, it's a great defensive assault rifle. It's best when used at moderately long range, so that should complement your MP5. -

NOOBCANNON PWNS!! i hav MP5 as well, i do alot of rushing, if u move around alot, cos it is so light, u can jump quite a distance so it's harder 4 the enemy 2 hit u, as long as u dnt do the classic zig-zag (>:]) and vary ur approach so they dnt kno where 2 shoot , u shud get better with the MP5
but the NOOBCANNON is gud -
I think I'll go with Aug. I'll still use MP5 most of the time and pull out Aug when situation call for mid or long range accuracy. And when I get the appropriate rank maybe I'll try out this SCAR L noobcannon.
BTW. is it possible to actually earn GP trough matches, coz I spend most of it on repairing weapons and end up with some change. I'm asking because I'll need at least 15k GP if I want to buy another weapon. Plus I thought buying Desert Eagle and AWM. -

It is possible, but it's incredibly slow. Expect ~50gp for an average full match. -

Well the only gun u can empty a clip with is the anaconda ,but its not full auto ,but if you're looking for a good gun to empty a mag with g36/xm8 are good*, Scar L is good but it does get boring; its good for cheap kills though and my personal fave is the AK-47 but if u can't handle the recoil its probably not for you
*If u can aim -
K2 is very good at any range, Alaska is the perfect map for it. Also if you want try the K1A. It keeps the close range awesomeness of the MP5 with it's high rate of fire but it still keeps a semi-decent accuracy if you control it properly. I love my K1As.

Best suggestion of all, ignoring all these people that "Oh, I use this, my gun is teh best gun" ...Ehem... Go run around Alaska and Crossroads for a while. Pick up guns OTHER than your MP5. Get a feel for stuff and how you like it. Remember that for most any gun you want to burst-fire, don't hold the trigger down. You likely also want to change your reticle, if you havn't already done so. (A few rare people actually like Reticle A, which has no center dot, but most people use either B or C. I highly suggest Reticle C just because it seems to be easier to aim....When they're in the circle, you know you're on target. Easier to get headshots, too, it seems. The reticles can be changed in the Options in-game, if you havn't found it already.)
BTW, the MP5 is still an excellent gun. If you stick with it, you're simply going to need to learn to use cover and work your way closer to your enemy to get the full potential out of the gun.
