| Budget Computer Builds |
thinking about getting rid of that old laptop that is struggling to maintain good frames in most games? is money tight at the moment? do not worry! i can come up with computer builds for you that will satisfy your gaming needs.
Ex.
$400 Build:
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=12190451
will run most games at medium settings at 60+ fps. crossfire, 1024x768 in 8v8 rooms = roughly 60-90.

I wish I had known the things about computers I know now. Spent 800 dollars on a piece of sht e-machines that I've had to upgrade constantly. I've put around 400 extra dollars into this just to get it to play modern games at an acceptable FPS. Your build looks nice.

Any "decent" modern computer with a low/mid range nvidia card works good. In this game amd/ati cards are FAIL.

most decent "modern" computers you buy at best buy, futureshop etc.. are %70 over priced. they do a terrible job for how much you pay for them.
my $290 i posted outperforms a $600 "modern" future shop computer
$FutureShop

nothing "ew" about it. for someone who is on a budget like that you can't get any better, and there is absolutely no reason to get anything better anyway unless you feel like playing new games maxed out on a 22 inch monitor. -

or save up and get gt250 or hd5750 for max out gameplay? -
heavier, come with 140mm fan , more width and height
it's larger by half an inch and is a pound heavier. if someone is on a budget they won't be spending twice as much for a little gain like this. there is a minimal difference, stop preaching my thread with what you think is better. -

no one that i know wastes their time playing games that require amazing graphic cards to run. frankly, all i play is source... and most of the people here only play crossfire, thus the 9500GT being a GREAT buy. -

SUPER BUDGET BUILD

this is if you want to get a friend a computer for his birth day or something of that sort. it can be used as your main computer IF you rarely play graphical enhanced games. if you play games like crossfire, league of legends, any hl2/valve games... this would do fine good if you don't have any money for a top of the line computer.
performance:
crossfire = 1024x768, Low Settings, 8v8 - 35-50 fps
source = 800x600, Medium Settings, 5v5 - 70+
