Melee Combat

I know there is a lot of discussion about new melee weapons. Does anyone know if there is a new melee weapon that will be out any time soon? I know there is the katana and whatever in the other versions, but are we actually going to get anything other than knife that isn't temporary?

I would if i had an axe or shovel, because axe is a one hit kill to head and shovel is a one hit kill anywhere with right click. tho slashing with katana will not be fair WAY TO OVER POWERED

Yah, Katana is WAY too long, we'd as knife users (like me) would just die before I even get to touch or even get closer it.
