What graphics card would you guys recommend?

I must say I am kind of a noob when it comes to computer upgrades. So I figured I would ask you guys what is a good graphics card that would increase my FPS that is not very pricey? Also, if you could link me to the site that you can purchase it from that would be appreciated. Thanks

  • Well I have a 9800gtx, but 9500GT,9600GT,8800gtx are also good.
  • State your motherboard type...we need to know whether you have PCI-E, PCI or AGP.
What is your Power Supply Wattage and state how many amps are on the 12V rail..it should be on the sticker on the PSU.

If you live in the USA, go to newegg.com

    They are the best.
  • im going for a Geforce 285 GTX OverClocked.... but its like $400 so i dont think you will be willing to get it.

if your willing to spend around $100 - $200 then if i were you i would go for a Geforce 250 - 275 GTX.... also, as said in the above post there may be some compatibility issues, so make sure to check that out before you buy one.

p.s. if you wanna go hard core, then get a Geforce 295 GTX - SLI (its two graphics cards stuck together.) but it will cost you in the $1000.00 range)

If you were going to get a graphics card JUST for playing crossfire, you don't need any of these graphics cards. I would get an NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT for crossfire (works fine for me - the game runs fine)
  • If you got money to spend.. GeForce 295 GTX.
Got a little money to spend.. GeForce 275 GTX.
Got barely any money.. GeForce 9000 series. (Anything from 9000-9800)
