im also looking for headphones, hope u find something, i cant decide on what i wanna get. are you looking for surround or stereo headphones?
and dont bother getting a keyboard unless u play a lot of rpgs, its really useless for fps games, and if u really want one, buy it after you have everything else -
For a mouse mat, I'd recommend hard for a Deathadder, definitely not soft.
For headphones, I use Turtle Beach x11:
They're made for Xbox 360, and everything sounds so good using these, but they work for PC games too, and perfectly in GM, plus they're amplified, so ghosts breath is ridiculously easy to pinpoint. There's also a crystal clear mic.
Mine were $100, but shop around, you never know. -

Not that I know of, from what I understand they are fairly universal. They work great even with my little dell mouse, but then again the technology that goes into it is lost on a lesser mouse. -

edit: @ Fyore, would the Razor mouse be wasted on a little cheaper gaming mat? -

I think you'd struggle to find anything as high quality as those, for a cheaper price tbh
The bass is amazing. You can hear reloads, so you know where people are coming from. And yeah, footsteps can be tracked easily (probably looks like I'm walling) -
I use a Roccat Taito mousepad. I would give it 5/5 for its price, durablility and tracking for optical and infrared mices, maybe not as good for laser ones.
Headphones? Well, I use a sennheiser PC350, and I like it very much. I would give 5/5 for the mic alone , sound is amazing. -

CookieMunzta, you can get a pair of sony studio headphones for half of that and they are 100x better. -

I never liked Sony or Sennheiser headphones in Music Technology
I bought those primarily for Xbox and Xbox Live, but they work perfect for Unreal Tournament, so it's just a bonus.
@ Catalyst BTW Turtle Beach's are amplified, so if you don't mind initial background fuzz (goes un-noticable after a couple of seconds) then they're great. -
headphones:
sennheiser hd201
http://www.comet.co.uk/shopcomet/product/622460/SENNHEISER-HD201
researched about them a little bit and they blow away any gaming headset's quality. they aren't expensive at all for the quality that you are getting.
keyboard:
you'll be fine with any stock keyboard, logitech microsoft.
mouse pad:
I'd get the steelseries qck medium sized pad for the deathadder. -

They look pretty decent and well built for that price (Y) -
