I am looking to buy a good gaming headset, please help!?

i have a good budget, dont worry about it, i just want the best.
i want to buy a headset for pc gaming, i would like it to be surround sound.

what headsets do you think i should look for? most forums and reviews are very outdated, and many new headsets are still coming out. i don't konw what to pick, so far ive been looking into the astro a40s, turtle beach z2, and razer megalodon from surround ones, and razer carcharias from stereo. Ive also heard steelseries is good

can you help me out ? i really need this answered, my current headphones are a piece of sht and need something worth buying that won't break in the next couple of years.

do you have it? how is it compared to other headsets out there, i know there are review on the internet, but im looking for a comparison and most of those are too outdated. thanks

really comfortable.. Very strong.. I tried eating it once and it's still in one piece... Definitely a good buy

how is the surround sound? are you able to pinpoint pretty easily? sorry for asking so much questions but i really want to know if its that great, i had many ppl recommend it but they never said why, i mean are the surround speakers well positioned?

all i got to say had about year still are fine its to loud so i dont use 5.1 cuz i get headace's so yea but still go them and nothing wrong yet

Yeah, it's great. Though this game doesn't use surround sound. It uses stereo. But the headset is great for CS:S and music and you can still pinpoint with it.

ive heard those were good but i dont like the fact that u need a charger for it.. its just too many cables but thanks, i know those are real good.

and this game doesn't support surround sound? well, even if i use my bad headphones, i can still tell if someone is behind or in front, its obvious, i thought it had 5.1 sound. or is it just the difference in the tone of the shots or foot steps
