What sucks is there's only a few who wanna change the community. Its gonna be hard, and we need a lot more people.
You can't change the community. Most players don't check the forums and don't speak English. It's the cold hard truth I'm afraid. -
Hehe, I'm awesome.
Anyway, at topic. I don't see anything wrong in making an effort to become a moderator, if it is Polleus desire. If a thread is well made and clears some points and/or gives some suggestions, what's wrong with it? Nothing.
You, son, talk about 10 year olds? Humm, how old are you? Because that type of comment "He just wants to become a MOD" shows lack of maturity and an obvious fail troller.
Not trolling just stating the obvious.
Maturity? I dont care , This is a game forum full of losers.
And im 19. -

As I said in my beginning statement, if you don't think it can be changed, might as well hit the back button. I'm wasting your time. That goes for anyone else as well. Any community can be helped and/or changed, no matter how bad they are. -
You have the maturity of an 8 year old by thinking polleus is trying to be like kill god or styx. Not trolling just stating the obvious.

He's not a mini mod, he's just trying to help this bad community. We could actually use someone like him.
Not someone like you who thinks he's actually trolling. lolol.
^ this.Age is just a number, you can be 20 and have the maturity of a 8 year old boy.

I will treat the community just like it treats me. I just got kicked for getting and leading with the ace during a whole TDM Egypt game. Don't think I am going to think twice when I see a vote to kick an ace on the different team.
Join a forumers room dude. Its a whole different game than what you probably experience in terms of CF community. Your outlook will generally change. Unless you do actually hack, theres no problems. I don't think I've EVER seen a kick vote in those rooms.
The flaw about your bolded statement however is, who sets the standard if no one cares? Even if people try and kick me, I take it in stride. Its annoying, yes, but, its not the end of the world. -

Forumers rooms are definitely the start of changing the outlook of the game. I myself played in a couple when I first started. Sure, there might not be 100% die-hard competitive players in there, but it is definitely better company than a regular public room. You can actually enjoy playing. -

Before I get started, if you are of the opinion that this community can not get better, you might as well hit the back button. I would be wasting your time. For those of you who do not care to read the whole thing, don't bother starting to read it. This will be some of my thoughts for this community because I know this community can get better and will get better. Make fun of me all you want, taking a F2P game/community as serious as I do. If you can't get past your ignorance and see that this game has potential some day, then you truly are blind. I sincerely believe that the community makes the game, not the other way around. Now that we have formalities out of the way, let's get started.
As I browse through these forums, I certainly can not argue with many points made about Crossfire's technical difficulties, cheating problems, latency issues, etc. I agree that these issues should be fixed which in result would make the game 100 times better. However, that is only half of the battle.
The community, with all the players in it, could contribute to help make the game a little more tolerable. I have seen these "Forumer Games" showing up every now and then, that is a good start. I have also seen recent threads such as Aero's "Common Courtesy" that outlines how you can show some courtesy in communicating with your fellow forumers. I have started a movement, if you will, on educating those who are ignorant in blaming Z8Games for many of the game's faults, to show that blame has been misplaced.
My point on this topic is, slowly but surely I can see a select few people coming out and actually attempting to help this community get better. The staff (GM's and Moderators) can only do so much, and we, as a community, can only do so much. We have to help each other, instead of fighting constantly. Imagine if there were even 10 or 20 more people who wanted to help make things better? By making things better, I am referring to anything that is considered positive outreach and contribution. Whether it is helping to encourage others to post their own ideas or holding mini-events such as these forumer rooms, etc. Helping can be considered, in this case, anything other than doing nothing and watching this community get worse.
So, how can we start to change this community you ask? By setting good examples for others to follow. How can you ask someone to change their ways if you yourself are doing the same thing they are? In this case, adhering to the rules laid out in plain sight. They are all there for everyone to read, yet I am willing to bet 3 out of 5 people have never read all of them. Recently, I have seen some arguments over Moderator actions. I can 100% say that if the rules had been read, those users might have understood what certain actions were taken. I have not seen any Moderator step out of the scope of their authority.
Setting an example will most surely cause others to follow in those footsteps. Actively posting in a mature, non-offensive manner than will help the users more than it will hurt them. Knowing when to be serious with your comments and when to be funny. To a new-comer, this community can be quite the animal. I, myself, was welcomed by Bruce and a few others. I was invited in-game to learn the ropes as well as out of game to learn the basics of this community. Now, if only more people could do that, we might have a less bitter group of members. Remember, treat others as you want to be treated. You treat people like crap, you'll get treated like crap. Very simple.
We need to grow. Sure you can blame everything on the game being bad, that is your right. But as a community, we could grow even with all the faults and negatives that come with it. This community has grown sour, just sitting and waiting for Z8Games/G4Box/SmileGate to do something about it all. Sooner or later, you must all realize that change isn't going to come quickly. This community could be doing a lot more to better itself, most importantly attitude. Make the best of the game, regardless of how crappy the issues are. You obviously still enjoy the game a little bit, you are still here playing it. Even after all the complaining and whining. Let's come together and make this community a little more enjoyable to everyone. Don't be afraid to share your ideas, your thoughts on how to make things better. Don't worry about what others are going to think.

I'm not trolling. Just give opinions, Trolling would be randomly insulting people. You're the people replying, So technically your trolling/ feeding the troll, Which are both btw, Against the rules.
And once again, I dont care about Maturity on this dam'n forum. -

I didn't feel you were really offending my statements. Like I said, everyone is entitled to their opinion. The thread stayed on topic, so no worries. I respect your opinion in thinking what I'm doing won't go very far. But, I ask anyone who feels the same way as you to at least respect that I'm trying, and leave it at that. I'd like to keep this as positive and mature as possible. -

You are right. I added my in game name to my signature.
Anyway, just wondering, how do I find a forumers' room? Is there a particular channel/server where you meet?
These are the kind of players I am playing with right now:

iLegend who has a really high rank (major) accused me of walling and using aimbot after I fragged him and then threatened to ban me which is sad. -
He's just trying to become a forum mod, He was probs a regular forum troll before.
I had posted a few threads back in May/June about how screwed up this community was and how everyone can do a little bit to help. So was I trying to become a forum MOD?
No. I simply do not have the time to dedicate to being a forum MOD, and I would much rather allow someone more qualified and with more free time to take the MOD spot and crack down on the flaming/trolling/cheating/glitching.
I remember saying that assumptions were the problem of the CF community back when I posted my threads. The person I quoted just made an assumption and now looks like a complete troll. Sorry if i sounded offensive. I'm just pointing one thing out.
OT: I thank you for looking ahead and seeing some hope in the community. At least now I know I'm not alone.
We already have great forumers like:
Fyore
LOLsmileyface
LolliRoger
Bloodyfire (even if he's practically never on)
CookieMunzta
CF_Kratos/DeadSpace
and many more.
I just named the main ones. And trolls. Just stop. -

Nice, hope to look you up on CF sometime. ^..^
As for information on forumer rooms, you can find postings here on the forums about the times, (usually it starts upon posting) place and so on. Different hosts have different setups. A shame that you generally have people like that, but just ignore them. If you don't cheat you got nothing to worry about. Besides, 90% of those who hackcuse never follow up with a report. -
This community is not as hopeless as many people think. It simply lacks a great amount of people that want to make it better. I have seen in recent weeks people who are taking an interest in improving the community. It's a good start.
Players have become so fed up with the game itself, they've become fed up with the community too. Every game is going to have its flaws, there is never going to be a completely perfect game. It doesn't necessarily mean that the community is equally as bad. Maybe, with a better community, an attitude to fix it instead of just watch it get worse, we can attract better community members? Better players?
Put the game aside. The average FPS gamer would probably look at this community and not want to be a part of the whole mess. At some point, it has to be fixed. Why not start now? -
