Sound problem!!!

I have this sound problem on CF...

when i go into the game music and verything works fine...
when i go play a map i cant hear shooting or footsteps i can only hear commands like: FIRE IN THE HOLE.
and dont tell me to reinstall cuz i already did and it didnt help.

PLZ HELP ME...WHAT TO DO?

I know I'm having the exact same problem. I hear sound for everything except footsteps and shooting. I hear radio, music, and button highlighting. But it's impossible to play right when you cant hear anyone in the game making noises.

I'm using Headphones too but even on my speakers I still don't hear Footsteps, ghosts, or shooting. yet all other sounds work.. All my drivers are up to date.

It would be nice if an admin could respond to this with some sort of information..

Try going to Options -> Sound and make sure all the boxes are ticked on. If it still doesnt work then i dont know.

and make sure none are muted, none are at low or zero volume, and check u have appropriate sound drives on ur comp

Look Its nothing do do with drivers, else sound on crossfire in general would not work. It is something to do with Crossfire itself, they must have nothing for sound installed in the right folders. Because I can hear Bomb spotted, and other stuff, my menu buttons and music, but absolutley no walking, gunfire or breathing.
