The renowned American historian Edward Clinton Ezell predicted in his book about the AK47 weapon hardly exist in this world can replace the Kalashnikov 2025. Seeing the fame that still has the AK47 on the planet seems to Ezell did not walk far wrong in his prediction. And is that assault rifle is one of the most widespread weapons worldwide. There are basically two reasons for the popularity of the AK47. On the one hand, a submachine gun is cheaper than the M16, on the other, a gun is extremely durable. Its founder was the legendary Mikhail T. Kalashnikov, who based his design on the German MP44. The Red Army officially adopted the AK47 after the Second World War, replacing the outdated SKS45 of Simonovs. Subsequently, Kalashnikov was developing new versions of his AK. Most of these models had a shorter barrel that Western submachine guns, which made the Soviet weapons were less accurate at long distance shots. This was the main drawback of the AK47, coupled with the fact that rose too much in the firing of bursts. However, these shortcomings are more than made up for with his great strength and its perfect adaptation to all weather conditions. Thus, the AK47 was an ideal weapon for combat in complex areas such as the Vietnamese jungle. In 1980 there was a new version of the Kalashnikov submachine gun ready to use 5.45 mm caliber, more lethal and accurate than the previous. In short, the AK47 is the antithesis of the M16. Communism versus capitalism, which is reflected by simply comparing the lives of their creators. While Eugene Stoner was made millionaire thanks to the M16, Mikhail Kalashnikov just received economic benefits have been the father of the legendary AK47.
