They didn't work on it any longer, it was actually delayed because the selfish Devs decided to change the patch at the last minute, leaving Saidin to pick up the pieces. The only reason it was delayed was to get extra additions to make up for that.
Besides, no game I've ever played has released a perfect patche. Everything has to be fixed and improved upon at some point, no matter what level of interest the game is on. -
Saidin works with the devs in a different way you might think. He doesn't code, he doesn't develop, his is the portal for the portal, if that makes sense. The Devs didn't leave Saidin to do anything. The "Client" problem that was delaying everything was the beloved "Play together" Buddy system update. Bugs got fixed in that, and the patch was released.
OnTopic: Everyone is leaving because most players want Bug fixes, while devs and others want content updates to catch up to the other Crossfire versions, which in my opinion is stupid, it isn't a competition.
I read a comment by a certain MOD stating only a select few were leaving crossfire, and that the "average joe" gamer was satisfied with the game. Apparently he doesn't play many pubs.

Since the latest patch, there`s a bug. You can`t get multiple black market/coupon guns. As I said, I tried to get a 2nd M4 Crystal, but I own 1 only. Also, I wanted to buy a 4th Axe, but I still have 3. So, of course, I sent a ticket. They wrote back, they deleted all Axes and M4 Crystals and gave me 360 Coupons to exchange this again. But ok, the bug is still here, so I own 1 Combat axe and 1 Crystal. Another 230 Coupons wasted. -
