Cf Freezes in VISTA all the times !

I don't get it ,

I have 8400 GS and I keep try to go the the game , but still freeze and slow after I login .

Do I have to update to latest driver in order to play the game .

I have windows Vista and have no troubles with it (except it occasionally crashes when loading maps) but try running it in compatability mode with windows xp, should help.

Yes. So do so. Also update your direct x client as well. And use the compatibility tab to run in XP SP 2 mode.

i got vista as well but nvr had that problem.. you could try running cf in compatibility with windows xp sp2 like vathers said... also google gamebooster if you haven't and download that.. it mite help.. and how much ram do you have? if you only got around 1gb ram with vista trying to run cf it would be lucky to start the game lol... and ram is a simple + cheap upgrade... if not then maybe its time to clean out your pc and do a system restore lol i restore my computers about once a year just to keep them running top notch how ever that does delete everything :P

Yes, I agree with Jayme. The best thing to do is shut down some minor services, and run in compatibility mode. If XP SP 2 mode does not work, try something like 2000. If that doesn't work I would look into what's really going on with the graphics card.

Also, disable any memory optimizers you might have. Some of them flush too often or flush a ridiculous amount of memory. Ultimately, freezing the CPU at 100% and locking the game.
