Wireless lag

Im not sure why but the last couple of days has been unbelieveably bad lag because of wireless i presume, before i could play with it and it is alright but its gotten so bad i cant even play some maps because of it.

Any ideas why, or how to improve lag with wireless connection (dont say make it wired cos i'll just reply with ,,!,,)

Reset your router.

I use wireless and get 29 ping.

yeah alot of people have been getting mass ping spikes i guess server mite be unstable;e at sometimes lol.. normally my ping is 36-40 but some times the server will mess up and spike it to 9000+ -.-... rly annoying lol first time it happened i went though 3 routers and has a tech check the wiring in my internet lol and it doesn't just happen on wifi.. also happened on wired:P but yeah.. .also try cleaning out yo pc fan if you getting bad fps... dust in ur van or vent will hugely kill ur fps.. also a good hint when cf is the only thing and game that does it lol... that's how i got the hint t was only cf :P

i use gamebooster and that drops my ping by like 20, but i still lag sometimes really bad.

Have you tried switching your DNS to someone else?

Try opendns.org and set a new DNS in your configurations for the wireless connection. Sometimes the DNS your service provider gives you is crap.

unfortunately my mum has the pass for the connection and she cant remember it -.-

It's possible that something else is interfering with the wireless signal. Certain cordless phones operate in the exact same frequency as 802.11g, which could cause corruption of the signal. Other than that the only thing I can think of is trying to forward the port that Crossfire uses: 13008. If you are locked out of the router you may need to do a hard reset of it. You would need to check with the manufacturer of the router to find out how.
