How would a tourney like that sound to you?
Well, without going into detail, Antaria, a Multigaming Network providing website, gameserver and voiceserver to clans and guilds of different games, is going to start it's closed beta soon, so I though to celebrate the "lift off" after 6 months of work a little tournament would be nice.
Just a little thing, with no cash involved. The clan that wins will get the big price:
A 50 Slot Voiceserver
(Location: Germany, so be aware that this tourney will be for EU only)
How does this sound?

in that case... it will fail miserably, considering it's being ran by some random who probably doesn't know anything about competitive gaming. No good teams will sign up and practice for a random tournament that'll die within a week offering a prize worth about $5.

- Random Person? Just because you don't know me or anybody else behind this project does classify me as "random"? Hello Mr. God!
- Doesn't know anything about competitive gaming? Same here. What in my post made you think this? Are u the famous Mr. SuperEgo?
- Random tournament? This is a official tournament by an organization that will do more in the future
- worth about $5? Oh now it's 5$? It was 10$ before... Hm... the dollar isn't very stable these days, isn't it?
I think that there are many clans in need of a voiceserver and the fact of getting it for free is just an additional opportunity.
1 Year = 120 bucks
2 Years = 240 bucks
Much ZP ^^ why spend it for a voiceserver if you can win one for free! -

- It is indeed random since it's never been heard of nor taken affect in any major game
- Exaggeration my friend.
Much ZP? How many of the competitive players in this game spend any type of money for zp? Who would want to practice to play a match every week over a vent server? Step your game up please. -

Now that's what I'm talking about. Constructive criticism. Didn't hurt did it? I agree that the price is not much, and I don't want a hardcore tourney. Just a calm little tourney to celebrate.
Ok, any others want to say their part? -
People are just jealous, your doing your part for this community.
I think it is a good idea for people who need a voice server.
It would help them alot for their clan.
This little tournament is just to celebrate your hard work and why not?
Yes, that is what I was talking about ^^hmmm, i might do it just as a practise for esl and/or wogl. If i entered a team we would probably just be trying out some strats or something and not training for it. Also depends if the big boi's turn up (roc/seals/consensus/inDenial)
We'll see how it evolves once I organize it. For now I just want to know IF there is interest. And how much of it. -
It sounds nice. Good for some practice.
How would you setup this tourney? As it is a EU Tourney would the matches be in uk Server??
They should be. But the ''big'' NA teams like LL/LPK/SNSD/paradox etc would still probably destroy most of the EU clans. I think that they could even take Seals even with the ping difference.
And im presuming its s&d or will it be CF's first Escape tournie? Also ye must have gun requirements and rules of course. (wogl rules are win) -

Escape Toruney! HELL YEAH!
But I'll think of the details AFTER I'm sure this tourney will be a success - or at least some clans will join.
First Price: 100 000 ZP -

I like the prize and the idea of a tournament, the real question is how do you plan to run your tournament? Rules and restrictions, things like that are very important to the CrossFire community and strongly affect the people that participate in your tournament.
You aren't random, maybe unheard of, but not random. I might suggest using a more official forum name for posting tournaments with, should you decide to go through with your original idea. Sorry if that offends you.
A 50 slot vent is a better prize than what most tournaments on this forum offer.
Overall, it's a good idea, something to help fill up those UK servers . -
