UK Server query.

Sorry to be a pain, I would've posted this in the UK Server News thread, but it's been closed.

What I was wondering was, could a Mod or GM give some info on where abouts the server is going to be located. I'm pretty sure it'll be in London, but could I get a definite on this please?

Oh, and will it actually decrease the ping of people in the UK? O.o

You should already know what will happen if you play in a server that is closer to you...

Okay okay, lower ping it is. What I really want to know is WHERE it will be located. If it's in London, i'll get around 70 ping. If it's in Birmingham i'll be having a laugh with 20-30 ping . So yea.

[GM]s haven't decided yet...

70 ping? I doubt it, the CF servers are in Canada, and I live in Mexico and I have a 73-76 ping...

I think you will have a lower ping than that...

More than likely , just running off of speedtests estimate. I reckon lower too, but you never know.

My internet connection is only 1 Mb, and i guess the internet in UK is hella fast, your ping should be lower than 50..

Nah! Well, I didn't have a 73-76 ping since I started to play CF, my normal ping was 95-100, until the GMs did their magic and my ping lowered (Thanks GMs )

Well, I'm only running 10mb at the moment, so I'm not expecting anything lower than 50 to be honest. My ping at the moment is like 110-120

I hope it isn't lol. Although, you'll get a better ping from the UK server too Louis. Im smack bang in the middle of the UK. Give or take :P

To find out your ping, just do a speed test to the maidenhead server.

no matter the location, the server will provide a huge boost to the European players, regardless of location. A connection that does not have to travel under an ocean and back will always be faster

i want the uk servers too
i live just south of london and atm my ping is around 110-150

Lol im gona be evil and LAG for you guys on this server. i have 20-30 ping on westcoast, so im guessin 200-300 xD sorry just wanna try out servver!

that... actually makes sense.... anyway im from watford which is 14 miles from london so if its in london ill be laughing my way through knife matches with my 7-10 ping
