iRapid's Guide to the K2
The K2 has been criticized for being awkward and inaccurate, and I am here to show people how the K2 really works. I've used the K2 from March 2009 to May 2010 as my main, so I know what I'm talking about.
Intro:
The K2 is:
Very accurate
Decently powerful
Nicely recoiled
and Very lightweight
However:
it has a slow fire rate
spray can get awkward
noobs cant use it for their lives
Into the K2:
Spraying: I recommend doing this with no gun, except the AK because it has such a nice pattern. Do not spray with the K2. It feels wierd to spray.
3-Shot bursting: Not very effective, to be honest. The third bullet wont hit too well. It will take time for the K2 to settle also.
1-Clicking: Just do it. Aim for the head and click. The K2's accuracy is the best in CF, and it fares better than the M4 Custom at very very long ranges. It is called a RnG gun after all. ITs accuracy barely drops when running, and the 1 shotting method is the second most effective method to use the K2.
So, you ask: Rapid, what is the best way to use the K2, then?
Pulsing. It is a way of firing that is very rhythmic and follows a heartbeat pattern. Pop-pop-*half second pause*-pop-pop-*half second pause*|Repeating...|
This allows the spray to settle and allows you to keep shooting, even though you should be aiming for 1 pulse per target by aiming for the head/neck.
Now that you know how to use the K2, you have to learn the way to use it at different ranges.
Close: 3 shot bursting works best here. They're close enough. Drop em.
Mid: Pulsing. 2 pulses in the body to drop em. Not much lol.
Long: Pulsing: Same thing as mid. Accuracy does not suffer.
Very long: Pulsing or 1-clicking. Whatever suits you here. Pulsing is for less than 3 targets, and single shotting is for 3 or more targets.
Very very long: Single shotting. The only thing you can do. You'll be outpicking snipers here. Nothing more.
All in all, the K2 is very unique and is not for the feint at heart. Real pros use the K2, even over the M4. It's accuracy is matched only by the Ak series, M4 custom, and snipers of course.

I am tired of hearing people say K-2 is underrated.It WAS underrated for some time, but not anymore.
Almost all (if not all) threads about which weapons is the best, which weapon should I buy, THE K-2 IS ALWAYS MENTIONED NOW.
Don't get me wrong, I love the K-2, but stop saying it's something it's not.
Also you said noobs can't use it.This is a very easy gun to use.Not that hard to get used to it.

What I meant is that noobs can not just use it to its full potential after picking it up. However, it is very rare to see a K2. I said it was very criticized for its flaws, not exactly underrated. Kinda like Apple these days, eh? Not underrated, but overly criticized. Most rifles have been used to full potential, but exceptions i see are the K2, Ak47, QBZed, Type 89, Scar Heavy, and even the XM8. Most of these guns are rarely seen, and the AK is like a nightmare to some. And you cant spray and get 8 kills as a clutch.
Everything i say is based off a competitive, SnD gamer's atmosphere. In any other mode, conditions alter heavily. As an SnD gun, K2 is pretty light.

it's easy enough gun to use not like that SL which takes months to master ^_^ -

Spraying with a k2 is the best but no one ive seen can control it except fews .
Close : spray is your best option here
mid : 3-5 bullets
long : 2-3 bullets
very long : 1-2 bullets
very very very long : 1-2 bullet -
It's heavy for a rifle, so it's heavy for SnD. SMGs are not used as much, so it should be even heavier in relation to the mode.
Good tips on it, I guess I'll try them out (having been using the M4 for a while now). I reckon K2's spray is actually good, but fires slightly slow (can be a positive because it's easier to control). I've actually always sprayed with it, and it's good for keeping down angles.
I agree that newbs can't use it, because a typical one will hold down left click. K2 requires you to aim slightly - slow RoF will do random spray no favours, and while the spray can be controlled, it requires you to think about it. -

the k-2 is a great gun for mid-long range, great for popping heads across colombia^^ i use it as my sniper because of the great accuracy and low recoil while single shotting. but i hate this gun in close range :P they must realease a k-2 adv, same stats but +5 ammo and slighty faster reload then im happy

Not exactly review, but you are right about pros and cons..
But imho noobs can use it almost to its full potential.. My experience with this gun is that it gaves tooo many lucky headshots.. mid-close range 2-3 bullets mostly hits the head when aiming anywhere on the chest..
Not so noobish as SL, but imho still one of the easiest guns in game.. -
did you just say that AK47 has an easy spray pattern so its good for spraying?
it is true in escape mode id run around spraying it everywhere and i wud fail with a scar light or m4 LOL
but it might just be because im used to running around spraying my rpk in mm...
i could never spray the k-2 well if i shot more then 5 bullets i wud just die

Anyways I like the K-2 its really accurate but you're right it does shoot kind of slow and the spray can get ackward at sometimes but overall I think its a good gun
