Ping has risen :S

Hey all,

Over the last 3 days or so, I have noticed that my ping has increased a considerable bit. I use the UK servers and average a ping of 52, but lately, I've been going up to around 250 and sometimes spiking up to 1-2000 :/ There's been no changes to anyone else in my house using their computer at the same time as me so I don't think that should be the problem. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance :D

  • Server maintenance never really helps...
  • same here! :(
...the only difference is that i'm brazilian...but the "ping problem" is the same.
My ping is usually 160~170 ...since this last game patch update now it's 190~200 and sometimes jump to 250 without any reason...

I wanna my normal ping back Z8 guys :)

..and i've seen the same issue with others players too
  • Before Tuesday, my normal ping was around 20 on Alpha, Bravo, etc. Even during the previous patches that seemed to mess with everyone's ping, my ping never went higher than that. Now, my ping is 55.
  • see ... :(

U Z8 guys r lagging us more and more in every patch....

I played as usuall yesterday and my ping still in the same situation as i said before ....sucks!
It's terrible when you die for your ping!!! ...you have sure that u shot the guy, u saw blood BUT in the end YOU get died cuz ur ping lies to u :(:(:(

If you are spiking to 2000, then it's something within your house. I know you said that other users have been using their computer at the same time (in your house) but that doesn't mean anything if your problem is connection. Are you on a router? I would try shutting down the modem and the routers (yours and the one located at the modem) for 10-15 seconds and I would also restart your computer as well. Make sure your connectivity is good before you start up Crossfire and then let me know if this helped or not.
