Serious tips.
In high school before you get the chance to go to bars and seriously meet girls, date friends. Since their your friends, you should already know how to be yourself, and most likely make them laugh. Sometimes dating friends isn't all to great, usually because the break-u[s are quite nasty. But that is just a part of life.
If you're looking to get out and actually meet new girls. Most will say it comes down to looks. But at the same time I'd argue it. Yes looks are good, but every girl has a different taste. And most girls want something different. Getting a six pack is not going to promise you a hot cute girl that will be there for you.
Looks only carry so far, to meet you need a personality. Make her laugh, strike a conversation, learn the basics about her, and tell her a bit about yourself. At that point you should know if your going to have any sort of relationship with her what so ever. Don't get discouraged when you realize you have literally nothing in common.
Once you get into a relationship...well uhh, most guys usually don't need that many tips.

Girls like confidence, fact of life.
Don't think about asking her out to much, you will make yourself miserable. Just get out and do it. Speak clearly, be confident, make her laugh. I'm sure the old "want to go see a movie with me," line is still used often. Even if you don't ask the girl out, try to become closer. -

you don't learn much about social relationships behind a computer screen. Get outside and experience/try it yourself. Not a lot of guys who play this game have kissed a girl, so it wouldn't be the best of idea's to get advice from them. Remember these are the same people who purchase an spop because they don't see enough women in the real world.
I'd honestly just try an AK lesson though, usually does the trick. -
Actually bruces first post had relevance, the old invite them over for a movie. This move seriously works wonders and will keep getting you action late into your adult life.
I dont really know enough of the situation to give perfect advice, but do avoid asking to do cliche things like dinner/movie when first asking out. group settings are a good way to work in like... hey some friends and i are going bowling wanna meet us blahblahblah? (effectiveness of this depends very much on how well you know the girl or if she knows your friends, you would also need to avoid a group setting thats just all people she doesnt know + her, this works best when you both have mutual friends which im unsure of)
Have you hung out with her before? Is there some situation where you see her semi regularly or is there some form of public place you both frequent? is she someone who goes to your school?
in the end its gonna come down to you just manning up and doing it (or not lulz) and itll probably go something like hey wanna hangout sometime maybe go do (insert not too generic, public act) youll know the girl and what might work more than meeeeeee
best of luck the the most important thing to remember is just to do it because later in life youll regret not doing it much more than not.

personally i perfer men who have the courage to actually come up to me and ask. not beat around the bush about it.

heh i remember when i had my first girlfriend, to be honest it was late until 12 years when i was a cs 1.5 addict. being a nerd this is how it worked for me. i asked a girl from my school to come help me whit math, and she keep coming everyday until next week when we got together. it all depends on how the girl is but i advice:
Do not show her your crossfire kd.
If you invite a girl over don't let her sit on a chair while you play crossfire
and
Do not talk about crossfire at all.
