How to get your account back if it's been stolen!
Have you lost your account? Do you have no where else to go? Look no further, because with this guide, you will most likely be able to get your account. I have had one of my accounts stolen before, and with just a bit of work, I was able to get it back from Z8Games. This is my guide to getting your account back again!

i) Scammers and Hackers
The proper definition of a scammer(scam):
scam

The proper definition of a hacker(hack):

Slang . a person who engages in an activity without talent or skill: weekend hackers on the golf course.

a. a computer enthusiast.
b. a microcomputer user who attempts to gain unauthorized access to proprietary computer systems.
There are many scammers in Cross Fire, they all want to steal your account and profit out of your lost account, whether it is:
● using your account as their new “main” or “alt” account
● using your in-game points (GP) to buy a gun and use it
● using your purchased Z-Points (ZP) to buy something from the mall, or donate it to their own clan for their own use
● selling all of your guns to make you mad
● taking your account just because they do not like you
● to download a hack tool and use it on your account so you are banned
● and much more!
Basically, they will go through anything to get your account. There are many things that a hacker or scammer will say to get your account. Some kinds are:
● GM/Mod impersonation
Many people who say they are a staff member, or anybody important in general, is just a complete fraud, ignore them completely. Report them. If they are real staff member alt accounts, the account will not be banned. If they are, they will be banned. This is because:

● Tricking you into giving your account info away
Nobody will ever give you ZP just out of the blue. If you receive a whisper in-game, immediately go to lobby, click on the Friends Icon, go to Block List, and add their name. This way, they will not be able to contact you ever. No one needs your log in info to do anything. If they want to give you some ZP, tell them to use the “gift” button, instead of depositing the money through your account. If they need it to “check” something on your account, immediately deny them.
● Becoming your friend
Sure, friends are great, but don’t get so close to them and let them use your account. Furthermore, do not answer personal questions such as, “What is your library card?” It’s bad enough that you are letting him/her use your account, what’s worse is the fact that with a few minutes, they can take your account, and make it virtually impossible for you to fix it up.
● Threatening
If anyone threatens to beat you up, or kill you unless you give them your account, just laugh at them and tell them to dream on. If it is someone in real life that you know, and you are aware that they are dead serious, call your local emergency response number and report them. They can be held liable and Z8Games will be required to show the chat. To be safe, screenshot every threat you get online and save it.
ii) What happens?
If someone gets access to your account, it’s as easy as “ABC” to change your info.

Using this page, they can get instant gratification at your account, change the password, delete your Metin 2 account (though you will most likely not have one if your play Cross Fire), change your forum name, making it hard to identify you, and change your email, making it quite impossible for you to get your account back.
If this person is a friend, they could know your email address and can change your email password if you use a universal password (one password for everything you do), which can lead to your personal information being exploited.
If your account gets hacked, more then just a few pixels could get affected, your whole life could be destroyed, such as friendships (hacker goes on your facebook or msn), and credit (hacker takes your credit card number and overloads it online).
Well, now you’ve been educated on what happens when someone gets access to your account, let’s move on to what happens if you did not follow my advice and lost your account.

iii) How do I get my account back?
First off, you need to get all of the necessary files to prove that you are the complete true owner of this account.
Here is a list of items that I recommend:
● registration email
● billing emails (emails that are sent to your email address when you make a transaction on paypal)
● any screenshot(s) in-game with your name
● login ID
● old passwords (best one would be registration password)
● your security answer that you made at registration
● any screenshot showing that you are the owner of the account (forum screenshots, etc.)
● date of creation of the account
● your IP address (should be the one at registration, or it’s no good)
● a link to your character
● any in-game replay(s) (.cfr file) that you can find of your account (the more the better, because if your name shows up 10 times out of 10 for replays, you have obviously owned the account)
● anything that can link you to your account, e.g clan
● anything else that you can think of that will prove that you are the owner of the account
Next off, click this, it is on the top of the screen, next to the forum icon:

If you do not wish to do that, you can just click this link, which will lead you straight to the Support Ticket form: http://support.z8games.com/webform.aspx
Where it says Game Related Catergory, click the drop-down bar and choose: Z8Games
Then choose Account Details
In the question, you should put this:
● tell the support team that you have had your account stolen, or hacked
● include the following details:
○ registration email
○ billing emails
○ login ID
○ old passwords
○ your security answer that you made at registration
○ date of creation of the account
○ your IP address (should be the one at registration, or it’s no good)
○ a link to your character page
○ anything else that can link your to your account
In the attachment:
● upload your .zip / .rar file with the following using any program (winRAR is recommended, if you do not have it, there is a mini tutorial on how to download it on the bottom)
● Include the following details:
○ any screenshot(s) in-game with your name
○ a notepad file of the registration email and billing emails
○ any in-game replay(s) with your name on them (the more the better)
If you include all of this information, you should be able to get your account back, if they do not answer the support ticket, go in Cross Fire’s IRC (#CrossFire), and ask any Mod to talk to [GM]Saidin and tell him that it is of importance. WinRAR Tutorial
The link to download WinRAR is:http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
Choose the ones that say WinRAR, and download it, the file is about 1mb, so it shouldn’t take long.
For Windows Vista and 7 users, run the download as Administrator.
Click Install.
Click OK.
Ignore all of the stuff about registration, it’s a trial, but you can still use it forever.
Then click Done.
You’re all set!
iv) Why?
Well, basically, if you do not tell Z8Games that you have lost your account, they will not care. Frankly, they do not pamper you like a little baby. If you do not report the loss, they will not just give you back your account.
Failure to send a support ticket:
● just isn’t worth it, the least that will happen is you don’t get your account back and don’t go anywhere
● the hacker will most likely not give you your account back
● Z8Games will not hate you for trying to get your account back
● people won’t make fun of you if you don’t post a forum thread
● Z8Games will not give the account back to you if you cannot give them information proving that you are the true owner of the account
Also, if you don’t try, you won’t be rewarded! -

If you think that it will never happen to you, please, reconsider. Let me talk to you from my own personal perspective. I worked long and hard on an alt account (got it an SPOP, AWM, Camo Deagle, Winchester, and an AK 47). One day, out of nowhere, my account’s password is changed along with all of it’s details. It took be 4 solid weeks to get my account back, and when I got it back, I almost jumped for joy. All of this was complete hard work getting together a whole bunch of information and sending it through support.
It can happen to anyone, so just make it not be you!
vi) Keyloggers and Hacks
It is common knowledge that hacks are not always 100% safe. Some hacks may have Trojan back doors, which will destroy your computer, and others may have worms and spyware that will eventually make your computer unusable. The virus most gamers fear the most is the Keylogger.
A keylogger can:
● get your credit card number
● steal your passwords
● moniter every little thing you type on the computer
● hack into your accounts
● hack your msn
● hack your facebook
● hack your email
● hack your Z8Games account
Keyloggers are sometimes embedded in hacks, and even if your AVG or antivirus does not detect it, no one ever said that it can’t be existent. Popular to contrary belief, public hacks are non-existant. Many people who call hacks out on others are usually just accusing a pro player.

The moral is, don’t download hacks, they will ruin your career in Cross Fire. -

I am coming to you guys from EXPERIENCE, not generosity. I want people to learn that accounts do get hacked, and people WILL be insulted. Please don’t give your information away, and please, don’t hack.

My account was hacked a week or two before the gigantic hack outburst. Only took me 15 minutes to get it back, because (Thank god) they didn't change the email.
Happened to me as well a while back. The guy didn't even bother changing the pass though. Just logged on to find a bunch of my guns damaged and 10k ZP that the guy had bought. Pretty awesome to be honest. -
