well i think if we have an AK custom it is not fair for the M4s, so I suggest a version of M4 Knife too
they both are signature guns right? -
I think ak-47 with silencer is spoilt as it is too much of a powerful weapon which would see its power decreased a lot with a silencer. Some nade attachments would be great insted, contributing to stress even more the difference between strong weapons with mid to high recoil and low damage, faster ones.

First, it`s a suppressor, and not a silencer.
And just because a gun is loud in game, doesn`t mean it can`t have a supporessor.
I never said it cant.... Please, PLease, read before you comment. And seriously suppressor is synonymous to suppressor. The whole intention is to lower sound, which is as i have said before like putting a muzzle on a dog. -

A suppressor pulls the power down, and it also adds some weight to the gun, which is quite obviously. -
You're metaphoric analogy is wrong. A muzzled dog not only loses its bark, but its bite as well.
A suppressed AK-47 may have lost its bark, but it can still bite just fine. Therefore putting a suppressor on an AK-47 is nothing like putting a muzzle on a dog.

ACtually it depends on the type of ammunition you will be using in companion with the suppressor. IF, which I inferred, it is your ak47 that actually is being "suppressed" in terms of sound, then automatically, you are bound to be using lower caliber or less powerful ammo, in turn making a less powerful "bite".
If you just want the silencer to be a show one, then I guess your right. -

Im not Hating, I just think the silencer is unnecessary.
That and Ive shot a Ak (Mac90, but still, its pretty much a AK), I dont think that even if you were to put a silencer on it, it wouldnt make a difference, still be loud as hell. Its the actual mechanism that makes that booming clamp sound...
Obviously im not qualified to say what the decibel rating is... because i havnt measured it, or have the means to, but I see her argument and I have to respect that. -

Well Duh we need new guns, but I dont want this end up like MW2 or BlackOps where people custimize guns to the point that it would be impractical. Untill someone can show me a mission log of a government force actually implementing the use of suppressors on AK47s, then Ill be convinced, but I highly, emphasis on highly, doubt that any government would do so or use them for "stealth" missions. -

However, if a government were to send out a special operations unit to infiltrate behind enemy lines for a long period of time, you could imagine that both stealth, as well as access to your enemy's ammo supply would come in highly recommended. In other words, if your weapon of surprise can also fire the round you pick off the bodies of your enemy, then you have a greater chance of success than with a limited supply of a different type of ammo not used by you enemy.

If anything, they wouldnt issue them Ak47's though. Probably the Masada or another gun that has interchangable parts/roles. That, and as I stated before, even with the silencer/suppressor, the Ak47 would still make a significant display of sound. Its the mechanics that make that large clamping/booming sound so yeah.... -

I know. Without subsonic rounds, you can still hear it clearly. But the suppressor would make the sound of the AK-47 bearable during Ghostmode, and not interfere as much with your team mate's ability to pin point.

but then again... it could ruin the game...I doubt the AK-47 could do any worse for this mode than the shovelers, the hackers and the sprayers have already done.
Besides, all it does, is take some of the AK sprayers out of the equation. Allowing other players to play this game the way it should be played.

Yeah, the actual clamping sound sounds ugly as opposed to the unsilenced ak, but thanks for the vid.
