Sorry, but not until Z8 at least says there's a problem with the coding. Crossfire and the crossfire ports are added to my exception list. I reinstalled the game soon as the problem occurred. Nothing worked.
I'm able to play counter-strike just fine with the same rules set up for it. I didn't have this problem before the update. This problem is very widespread. I don't see any possible way that this could be each of our individual settings, and if disabling the security for your computer is the only way to play, then everyone should spare their time and money and quit this game.
It's like if I just rented a car to you for a week. You paid me $500 cash. I gave you the car, but it doesn't run out of 1st. I keep your money, tell you that I'm working on it and to just avoid the problem by staying out of other gears. That's the last you've heard from me on the subject for a few months. In the mean time, you're out $500 and a car rental. Do you just wait for the guy to get back to you, or do you demand answers persistently until it catches someone's attention? -

Some functions of the operating system are not working properly due to external program. close any program with is affectinggame client.

Or they dont know how to do it properly, I had the same issue, tried that fix and it worked.
EDIT: You need certain level of knowledge about Computers to do that process sucessfully, no amateur PC user can do it that easy. -

And if you think I'm flooding the forum with posts, then maybe z8 should fix the problem. If it annoys you having to read through all these posts, how do you think it feels to have to deal with the bs of being disconnected every 30 seconds and losing money that you spent on the game because of it. -

DMZ is made for private networks. DMZ on a home computer opens up everything to everyone. It's just sitting there waiting for something to exploit that. -

Well IDK how you configure your modem, but mine just opened the ports necesary for CF and only for CF.
