Top Clans

Who believes that the top clans page should be determined by scrim(clanwar) record rather than clan points?
Maybe ranked by wins/losses in scrims? Or ranked by kills/deaths in scrim? It's sort of lame that the top clans just have 100 people who play a lot and get points, doesn't mean they're good(well some of them are). -
There really isn't a best way to determine which clan is the best, if that's what you're trying to get at.
Actually there is. Changing top clans based on scrim win/lose record rather than the clan points system they use now. It a lot better option in my eyes. -

It may be better, but it can still easily be abused. What if one decent clan plays against nothing but bad clans? That clan will be up at the top. -

Good point. Maybe set a point system that awards you with more points depending on the other clans rank that you face. You see, if a clan just faces other scrub clans they would receive far fewer points. That would make it harder for them to get higher rank. -
I think it's fine the way it is, you get more exp for Ace and MVP, so there is a bias yowards actually good players. And everybody is pretty good at keeping track of which clans are legit/which are farmers and boosters/etc, independant of the clan list, anyhow.
Ranking based on a ratio can never work, since ratios aren't cumulative. Z8 has designed the clan system to encourage players to be active, which is good for the community's health overall. -

Fixed that up for you.
Really no way to do that clan ranking right. People just love attention and will abuse any system put into place in an effort to rise to the top. -
Well, the clan ranking fails bigtime indeed!
But it just depends on how people want to play.
I'm from clan NUB and we think about it this way:
We do NOT want to extend member slots because we prefer having 15-20 members who know eachother VERY good, we all know exactly how our clanmates play & react on situations that might happen. also 15-20 high skilled members is better than 80 decent skilled members.
we care about skills, not about ranking, cause ranking doesn't say anything about your clan except the thing whether you pay money for ZP in your clan or not.
result: we are rank 553
do we care? no.
other clans in the top do care about rankings, so they try to get higher. for excample: pubstarz.
they are nr 1 in the ranking, we played a scrim against them yesterday and owned them bigtime. do they care about losing that scrim? hell no, they don't care about scrims, scrims is just for fun for them, they care about their ranking.
so, the result is: we are happy with our way of playing, and they are happy with their way of playing (allthough they do accuse us for cheats, but whatever, if that makes them happy, np)
I'm just saying this with my clan (clan nub) and pubstarz, because those are 2 clans I know pretty good, but ofcourse, this counts for a lot of clans, so I'm just trying to point out that some clans care bout 1 thing, and other clans care about another thing, and we are all happy with what we choose.
so that's for the clans themselves: now about recruiting?
ofcourse the low ranked clans who go for scrimming might be scared that high ranked clans get the better members. but do they really get them?
the answer is no:
who's going to the high ranked clans? the people who care about ranks!
the high skilled players don't care about ranks, but care about having a good team, so they won't join the high rank clans, but search for a great scrimming team.
so the scrimming clans don't lose members on the high ranked clans either.
so why should we care about the rankings? it doesn't make it so much different for scrimming clans. this way there are 2 sorts of clans, scrimming clans & ranking clans, and both are happy with the way it is. so, yes I do think the system of clanrankings fails, but no, I don't think it should be changed, cause it does give an extra dimension to the game for some clans.
actually, I think they should just make multiple clanrankings.
1) the rankings like the are now
2) the average rankings (the clanpoints that the members have got in the last 10days / the ammount of members)
3) scrimming rankings
something like this. -

So, you think your clan has skills.
Why not set up a match against us? -

I didn't said we're uberly skilled or anything like that. yes we were the nr 1 of europe in the ESL opening 5on5 cup, but we went inactive after the cup, came back a little while ago, so due to the inactivity we lost some of our skills, but we're getting better again each day.
though right now I do think we're not the best clan don't expect us to be that good anymore, I just wanted to show that there are scrim clans & ranking clans, like I said, nub & pubstarz were just examples, but there are many many many more clans like them, it's just that I don't know the other clans as good as my own clan, so it's easier to state my point by talking about my own clan
but about a clanwar: sure, why not? always fun to play some skilled clans
what clan are you in? -
