Fixed error messages after autopatch
A few days back I posted a note that I was getting an error popup saying "File was changed or forged. Game will shut down by force" after the new patch a few days ago. Tried uninstalling game, running CCleaner, and reinstalling fresh copy and still got same message after new install updated itself.
Here's what I had to do to get up and running again:
1) uninstalled Crossfire
2) ran "regedit" and deleted ALL remaining instances of "Crossfire". Also had to delete registry folder "Hkey_Current_User\Software\INCAInternet" and searched and deleted all remaining instances of "Gameguard" and "nProtect" from the registry (you'll find a registry folder called "npggsvc"- delete it).
3) downloaded and installed fresh copy of Crossfire and let it autopatch.
Works mint now.
Hope this helps others with similar problems,
Rabbit
