Gaining access to a test server?

I would like to see if I would be lucky enough to join a test server maybe next month. I remember in the Suba days you could post IP addresses and info and maybe be picked for a test server. To be honest, how does that work?

I doubt this will happen, too many chances of something leaking or going wrong. Perfect for hackers to work their prime on released coding and whatnot. Such things are carefully guarded I think, and dearly hope so.
