It's still really easy to glitch, I really need to know what are those "map fixes to most maps to discourage glitching".
Damage Zones proved to be efficient, why not put them EVERYWHERE a player isn't supposed to go ? That would solve the glitch once and for all. And don't go telling me it takes time. I already did map creation (and CF isn't really a "new-gen game...) and I know how easy it is to create simple volumes with a damage property on them. At least all of the crates should be "trapped". They are not. Failure... again.
Did they say that they solved them all?;) -
No glitches? Yay! New weapons? EPIC!
So... new weapons and glitch fixes eh? How about HACK FIXES!!! I've encountered more than 3 hacks on CF lately! It's totally insane. I get them every 3-4 days!
Anyways, at least the glitching problem is fixed... I hope.
CF, if you can introduce an Italian gun to Crossfire, then can you PLEASE introduce a Canadian gun to CF?
Please make the following available on CF:
Diemaco / Colt Canada C7A1 C7A2 assault rifle
Diemaco C8A1 carbine
Please do so! Thanks.

AT LEAST, IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, YOU CAN ADD A NEW BONUS GUN, IN THE MALL,
THANK YOU.
P.S.: The "Castle" was my idea, but I didn't thought of that excactly... anyway
lol ur idea, its bee on other versions for months...
OT: was expecting awm-rdragon for 70ish coupons. -

Bad argument.
They have damage zones in certain areas, these are working, it does kill if correctly placed. Like I said, it's just a simple volume with a property that makes it damage anyone entering it (I supposed it works as simply as that, I REALLY don't see why it should be more complicated, works fine in Hammer Editor).
How long does it take to create said volumes and put them in the right places i.e. at least fill all the crates, even those that doesn't seem they would give a strategic advantage ? Those volumes don't need to be perfect, textured or anything fancy, as long as it doesn't hurt legit players (and quick tests can verify that) it's ok.
So for a map, it shouldn't take more than a 1-2 hours to fill the maps with those damage zones, and a few more hours to test if correctly placed. Is it exaggerated to think that Z8 could have taken those few hours to prevent glitching at least in its new map ? NO.
The moment a glitch is discovered in a map, they should start working on it. Instead, months after people start mass-glitching in almost every map (especially MM), they give us an half-arsed fix.
Not fixing the "I'm-a-noob-that-can-pass-through-walls" hack right on, I can understand, the problems seems a lot more complicated and they needed time, but glitch... No, simply no. -

FYI, glitching is as much a product of the engine as it is a product of the mentality of the people playing the game.
Where the game is developed glitching hardly unheard of. This could be because there is a shorter pipe line between their version and the developers (compared to ours). But also because breaking the rules for the sake of breaking the rules is something that an entire culture of people doesn't follow.
Having said that, CF is not made in hammer. It's a modified version of the lithtech engine, which is older.
Z8Games does not code the game or make the maps. We publish the game and submit these errors to the developers. Over the last say 3 patches (3 months), we've seen more fixes to bugs and glitches than we did in the first year the game was brought here. This is because we've improved the pipeline to get these things fixed. We can't guarantee ALL reported glitches will be fixed, because of this development-publisher relationship. However we can continue to improve communication and improve on these problem spots.
We hope that this is sufficient of an explanation and that you continue to look at these improvements as a positive. Taking a glass-half-empty attitude is rarely productive in any industry. The fact that we did have some of these glitches fixed is a great step forward for the game. The fact that we will continue to do so only makes the outlook even better. -

Yeah I figured that much, it was just for the example. It doesn't change that it's probably easy to add damage zones, however...[GM]Saidin wrote: »Z8Games does not code the game or make the maps. We publish the game and submit these errors to the developers.
So basically it's not a Z8 failure, it's the lazy developers' fault. It's more than sufficient mainly because I understand now that's you're doing whatever you can. First, I always look at improvements and I already said that you were doing better and better. Besides, like I said, apart from the weapons not contenting me (but not everyone can be contented every patch I know...) this patch is great.
For the half empty glass, I can't help it. No matter how good the game is, a single glitcher/hacker can ruin everything, you can understand how frustrating it can be. -
Great patch. You should add more buying weapons though instead of crates. People think you guys are being greedy and I am not objecting. Also I didn't seem to like the map temple. It is terribad IMO. Other than that good job keep it up and listen to the players.
I agree, I don't mind temple though.. Any chance of a castle TDM?
